The room is large and the environment is very good, especially the living room is great, the sofa bed is large, the whole room can sleep six people. That's great! The staff was very nice and gave us cookies and water. The whole city is not big, the hotel is right next to the highway, and it is a dozen minutes drive from the center. Free parking. Will consider next time!

My stay at Econo Lodge Baton Rouge University Area was absolutely outstanding. From the warm welcome at check-in to the impeccably clean and cozy room, every detail exceeded my expectations. The breakfast spread was fantastic, offering a wide variety of high-quality options to start each day right. The hotel's location near the university and downtown Baton Rouge was incredibly convenient for exploring the area. Plus, the amenities like fast Wi-Fi and secure parking made my stay even more comfortable. What really made my experience unforgettable was the hotel's thoughtful gesture of hosting a free fireworks display for guests on the 4th of July. It was a pleasant stay without any major perks. I stayed in one of their suites. The room was spacious and clean, the bed was comfortable with an ample sized bathroom, including a half-bath. Just a note, the large bathtub needs some refurbishing and part of the floor in the bedroom squeaked when stepped on just like it would walking across a wooden house. Sadly, the ambiance felt cold, just like a museum probably because it hardly had any type of decor. As far as coffee and sugar, just the bare necessities. Plenty of towels, but not one to step down from the shower. The service was efficient and an easy process. Unfortunately, I can't comment on the breakfast included, since I left prior to the 6:00 am opening.

Better than the bridge in New York, very close to the state university, quiet, big room, fast speed, surrounded by some restaurants, but also Chinese restaurants. Breakfast is almost the same every day.

Outstanding
MMountaineerMike80The room was clean and spacious. There were plenty of towels and extra blankets. The mattress was not comfortable. The staff is friendly. There was not hot breakfast Sat morning, which was disappointing. The hotel is easily accessible and has lots of parking. They are located about 4 minutes from the airport.
GGuest UserThis room was extremely overrated! The only thing that was good was the view ! If you don’t get a window side river view or city view it’s kinda not worth the stay !
SStaunchestWhen I booked with Expedia, under construction was never mentioned. Imagine that. So the day before, I get an email from Springhill explaining all the construction, noise, inconvenience, limited breakfast, etc. Perfect timing on their behalf. You think I felt deceived? You betcha. Walk into the room. First thing I notice is a piece of candy on the floor and a coffee stirrer sticking out in the crack of the sofa. You think they are extra cleaning in these times of Covid? Think again!
GGuest UserThe level of customer service was outstanding - all staff went above and beyond.
The room was very large and had all the facilities one would expect.
The location was good, albeit a little far from downtown, however, at the price it was on a Saturday night, that’s a fair trade-off
PPEIExtra beds can be used, some hotels will charge $10 a night, and some hotels do not need money. Breakfast hotels are generally available, no need to consider when booking, very simple meals, bread crumbs, milk, coffee, orange juice. Standard American INN hotel style. Hollday, Days... A lot of Inn hotels are similar.
BBilly MullinLobby was almost as hot as it was outside, restaurant/ bar was located in the same area, sweating while eating just doesn’t work for me. Door to the room stuck so bad had to use your shoulder to open it. The phone in the room didn’t work, the snack selection downstairs consisted of cliff bars and some kind of cookie.. woke up early by talking outside my door, when I got out of bed to go use the bathroom after being woke up I walked through wet carpet and a half flooded room from a water leak. The rest of the morning until I left I got to listen to a shop vac run. Checked out and mentioned the flooding I got a head shake then asked if there was a discount for the flooding. He said he couldn’t do anything because I booked through a third party but would have the manager call me. Still waiting on that call…….. I’m a Hilto owner and it’s ashamed I can book a room cheaper through Trip than I can Hilton
童童The hotel is located on the edge of No. 12 highway, it is easy to find after getting off the highway, and on the edge is holiday inn express. There are gas stations and McDonald's nearby. The hotel lobby and restaurant have just been renovated and are very nice. The hotel room is also larger, there is also a swimming pool, and free parking. There is also a free breakfast. But the biggest problem is that the hotel seems to be in the stage of brand handover. It has just changed to a new brand, and management cannot keep up. In the first room arranged for us, I opened the quilt and felt that the sheets were not changed at all, so I asked to change the room, but basically there was no change of sheets. I found a lot of hair on the sheets and pillows, the bed The supplies were very old, and there were a lot of pilling and wire drawing. To be honest, I felt very sick at the time. I wanted to check out and change the hotel. Later, my family felt that the trouble would be gone. Then I found that the bathroom light was not on, so I called the maintenance staff to see that it turned out that there was no light tube inside, so I installed it. The toilet is not easy to use either. The shower head is also leaking and it is not closed tightly. The next morning, I found that the pillow that had fallen between the bed was wet, and only then discovered that the bathroom wall was leaking, and the carpet near the bedside was wet. No wonder there was a smell in the house at night. In short, the stay feels very bad. Although the price is cheap, if I can choose again, I will not hesitate to live on the holiday. Objective analysis, in fact, the hotel infrastructure is still good, the furniture seems to be gradually updated, if the bedding and room hygiene Do it well, it still has a certain appeal. I hope that the hotel can get on the right track as soon as possible and provide a good accommodation experience for travelers.
GGuest UserI want to say thank you for the security really good felt good with my kids and all also maintenance housekeeping felt good also it's just the India couple who cleaned my room on top floor can't complain it's just please change my sheets and clean my walls I should have been nicer but it's true it's not your fault it's the management fault for the sheets and front office thanks except the black lady and why get a attitude with me rolled your eyes at me but other wise this place was good safe
