The Fern Cove Villa

There is a beautiful villa at the other side of garden we stayed here for 5 nights, extremely spacious and peaceful but there were few annoying things, first there is no wifi here you should seat beside the pool, second electricity shortage especially in the morning was really annoying, they don't clean your room every day and you have to ask for it.

We had a nice stay as feeling like our home .The owner Madam oshi and her husband were very helpfull and given us a great welcome.The place is very calm and quite , and nice concept which reminding the Sri Lankan early walawwa. Our host Sena also very helpfull person who has look after us kindly.Really impressed with the hospitality service you have provided us. We will be back soon as I really love your place The Fern cove villa👍

I stayed the first two nights of my journey at the Fern Cove Villa and had a wonderful tim. The garden ist beautiful and the social areas couldn't be more idyllic. There is a nice swimming pool and a good place to work infront. The room was spacious and had everything I needed, AC and warm water included. And the breakfast was the best I got in Sri Lanka so far! Besides the hosts were very welcoming and helpful! Just loved it.

DO NOT GIVE THE OWNER ANY ADVANCE!!!! Completely unreasonable, unprofessional and rude owner who is not at all flexible. We booked the place for a day outing on a poya day during the middle of the week, but due to one of our group members getting COVID-19,  we had to postpone. Even though we gave a weeks notice regarding our inability to come on the originally booked day, the owner claimed she was going to loose two days if she gives us the replacement date as a Saturday. She refused to give us a date that was acceptable to us. She was stubborn and unyielding and not at all open to anyone else point of view and refused to give us our money back insisting that we come on a day that was convenient for her only - We requested a Saturday as a replacement however she was adamant that she would only give us the place at 11am on a Sunday for a day outing which was not suitable for our requirement. At the point of booking the owner insisted that we pay 50% as an advance for which she promised to send a reciept but we never received it upto date. She also didn't tell us in advance of her cancellation policy. She has absolutely no compassion or humanity in attempting to run a service business and does not speak to clients in a professional manner. It was only afterwards that we went through the reviews on her listing on various sites and realized that she has done the exact same thing before making her a habitual robber.   Therefore with such horrendous service being offered I advise you to think twice before going to this place.

It's actually hard to believe that you can find such a relaxing, soothing place in the heart of Colombo. The property and the environment are designed with attractive colonial and cultural style architecture, and surrounded with rich collection of Sri Lankan antiques all over the place. It's a nature friendly place as the garden is surrounded with so many different kinds of trees, even you get to see some monkeys (not disturbing for visitors but a beautiful scenery) , different kinds of birds inside the property itself which is so surprising to see in Colombo. We have been to this amazing place couple of times with friends, family and there's no doubt of visiting there again in the future.. The senior couple who owns the property and look after it are genuinely friendly, professional; they understand the customer requirements well and give an excellent service. We came to know that they own another beautiful property in Nuwara Eliya too..
