This is one of the best if the not best hotel experience i have. The room (indeed two bedroom apartment) got everything one need. I woild definitely come back and stay for longer term.

Great for all the stores and markets around the harbor. Lovely walking through the streets of Hobart. Convenient to the tour office for booking tours or getting information. Parking is tricky as the hotel is on a very, very steep hill but once you do it you get use to it.

Ok but the Salamanca Suites are way better. We stayed here for 1 night before our flight home. We stayed at the Salamanca Suites 10 days prior on arrival in Hobart (fabulous) but they were fully booked out on our last night and so we booked the Terraces. Great location, but old and run down.

We were due to stay at another hotel but were moved here, which was no hardship. Spacious comfy one bed apartment, starting our first few nights in Tassie off to a great start. Well equipped kitchen (but for shorties like me, the microwave was too high!) comfy lounge and bed - much appreciated after all the travelling to get there. Close to the harbour, eateries, 10-12 mins walk to the shopping centre - it’s in a great location. Apart from that wicked little hill as you walk back up to the apartment block from a long day out, couldn’t fault it!

My stay at the Salamanca Terraces in Hobart was a blend of satisfaction and mild inconvenience. The hotel's accommodation itself met my expectations, providing a comfortable and enjoyable experience. The rooms were well-maintained, and the overall ambiance of the hotel was very pleasing.
However, the check-in process did not match the smoothness of the rest of my stay. There was a lack of clear communication regarding the check-in procedure. It was not indicated beforehand that the reception area was actually located in a different hotel across the street. This unexpected detail caused a bit of confusion and inconvenience upon arrival.
Despite this initial hiccup, the overall quality of the hotel was commendable. The facilities and services provided were of a high standard, contributing to a memorable stay. While the check-in process could be improved with better communication and clearer instructions.
