The guesthouse is an excellent place for exploring Boudhanath and the surrounding streets and monasteries. The room was clean with a hot shower, and the bed was the most comfortable we experienced in our trip to Nepal! Kathmandu is a loud city, and the airport is nearby, so you might need to bring ear plugs for sleeping. The garden outside is well maintained and the perfect place for lunch, or a delicious cake in a calm environment. The guesthouse offers a training environment for young people, and all of the staff were exceptionally professional, helpful and attentive. There's also a giftshop selling craft items from the ROKPA Women's Workshop which is definitely worth checking out. Overall, our stay was amazing and we wish we could have stayed longer!

I stayed here for a night whilst visiting the religious sites nearby. The location was perfectly settled near the large stupa, however off the main road so cultivated a calm and quiet space. The breakfast provided a great selection of local and western cuisine. I would highly recommend staying here.

Eigentlich ein schönes Guesthouse mit netten Mitarbeitern. Eigentlich ….. Tagsüber von zwei Seiten sehr laute Presslufthämmer und nachts wird man überlaut bis spät in die Nacht mit Geburtstagsmusik bedröhnt. Die Stärke des ROKPA - nämlich die Ruhe im Garten - ist leider tagsüber und nachts Vergangenheit. Schade, aber da werden wir uns wohl eine andere Unterkunft suchen müssen.

Rokpa is absolutely one of the most special places on earth. There is something so good and charming about the energy there and the earnestness of their staff, and the guesthouse's central courtyard is pure oasis in the heart of frantic Kathmandu. Also, I had some of my best lunches and dinners here. I highly recommend the thali set, the spicy tofu nuggets, and the kung pao chicken.

I had a fantastic stay in the Rokpa guest house, and only wish that I had more time there. The staff are incredibly kind and hospitable, and it was a welcome oasis from the noise and bustle of the more touristy parts of Kathmandu. The views and comfort of the Stupa suite are fantastic if you are able to book it, with a private patio, and plenty of space. The restaurant was also delicious!

This accommodation is highly recommended. It is located in the beautiful area near the boudhanath stupa. The accommodation belongs to a Swiss organization that takes care of street children. A part of the accommodation fee goes to the organization. Very good food.

Das Hotel liegt in unmittelbarer Nähe der Boudha Stupa. Vielleicht 150 Meter entfernt. Hier gibt es sehr schöne und weniger schöne Zimmer, aber man kann vorher nachfragen. Die schöneren Zimmer sind im neuen Teil des Hotels im zweiten Stock.Die Bäder sind überall sauber. Man kann Zimmerservice bestellen. Einen sehr gepflegten Garten hat das Hotel auch, wo man frühstücken und eigentlich den ganzen Tag etwas essen kann. Die Speisekarte ist vielfältig. Die Bedienung ist ausgesprochen herzlich und freundlich. Es gibt einen Hund und eine Katze im Hof. Im und im Restaurant gibt es einen kleinen Lade, wo Gebrauchsgegenstände verkauft werden, die in der hauseigenen Werkstatt und Näherei hergestellt werden. Eingangsbereich steht eine große Tara-Skulptur. Rokpa bedeutet Hilfe und sie helfen in der Tat durch Wohltätigkeit.
