WARNING! If you can go somewhere else do it now!!!! On arrival we waited for a short while to check in even though we had done this on the app before we left the UK so don't bother. Our luxury family room no DC block 26 Bubbles pool view - it is a large room with plenty of space for all our clothes with a walk in wardrobe and plenty of drawers. Large TV, English speaking programs and films are hit and miss. Pools Punta Cana relax pool is a good size. When we got there we saw a man cleaning it bith times we stayed over there next to the pool. Very nice pool supposed to be a relax pool but it depends on who's there as we had a large group who decided it was OK to play their own music, which seems to be theme here😕 Punta Cana infinity pool next to the relax pool was where the activities were. There isba pool bar. Pool was cleaned but still lots of floating bits. Volleyball net seemed to be put in the middle of the pool and left there all day. Splash pool is big with pool bar, and has activities throughout the day which are fun to take part in. Needs cleaning around the pool area and have not seen the pool cleaned yet. Chlorine is added but never saw anyone testing. I suffered a rash on my legs and arms which may or may not have been caused by this. Bubbles pool was more relaxing, quite big with pool bar. We are more the relaxing type so preferred this pool and it was right outside our room too. Down side was the lack of cleanliness as there always seems to be floating bits everywhere due to all of the tree debris falling on the floor and cigarette butts not getting cleaned up then ending up in the pool. I know that these things are what they are but just sweeping the pool side areas a couple of times a day wouldn't hurt. WARNING NOT FOR THE FAINT HARTED! my husband asked what was floating about in the bottom of the pool the other day, it was a tampon!!! He jumped straight out. This was still in there days later after reporting it. We also removed a cockroach from under the loungers we sat at one day too. This place is filthy!!! All pools have an abundance of loungers. No one seemed to rush to put towels etc on as even later in the day there was always free ones, I do think this is due to the lack of sun brollies though. The loungers at the Bubbles pool and the Splash pool were the best iv ever used, these were a leather effect and so comfortable I could fall asleep on them easily if it was cooler. Top tip if you leave your lounger for any reason cover it with a towel as they get very hot and bring pool shoes as the floors around the pools are filthy. Restaurants Grazie - we had pizza which was very basic but ok, service was good but wouldn't go back. Selections - we have found something each time we have been here to eat. I would recommend the omlette for breakfast the Tuna and cream cheese, the salmon and cream cheese with bread rolls for lunch and the pasta station for dinner. Bella was out favourite, antipasti buffet starter would

Excellent service. People working there were always very helpful whenever assistance was needed. Food was tasty, and the room we booked (suite with swim out) was awesome. The place is very big, so be aware that there will be quite a bit of walking to get to the lobby (where most restaurants are). When getting ready to leave, you can ask for the bellboys to get the baggage with you back to the lobby in one of the golf cars that they use to move around.

We were booked in to a Diamond Lodge room so on arrival you have your own check in. You leave your bags with the bell boys and you go and halve a seat where they give you a drink while the reception staff get your gear together. The wait is only minutes and they come and see to your accommodation promptly. They put your wrist band on(which also acts as your key) on your wrist and explain were most things are. They then get your butler to take you to your room. Ours was Noroya (more said about the butler service later). The butler then takes you to your room and as you go they point out restaurants, pool etc, etc. It a lot to take in as you are tired from the journey but they are doing their best. Once at your room your cases are fetch by the bell boys(tip expected) Our room was on the backside off the hotel so had a little view off trees and could see the sea and beach off next doors hotel. There is a super king bed and all amenities one would expect. The mini fridge is fully stocked and there is a Nespresso machine for hot drinks(we never used) Bathroom is large and has separate Shampoo, Shower gel etc, etc which is a nice touch. The bed is is comfortable and has a topper on so was a winner for the wife. They clean the room everyday and do a very good Job. Hotel amenities: 3 pools at Royalton Punta Cana, 3 pools at Royalton splash and a fully stocked water park are available for use to use. Nice touch is that you can use all facilitates at both hotels so there is plenty off choice. All pools have a bar within throwing distance and 1 pool at RPC and all 3 at RS have a swim up bar. All pools had plenty off sun beds so never had to get up early to grab one. We like the atmosphere at the quiet pool at the Royalton splash near the reception but all were clean and tidy. Bars and restaurants: As well as the bars at the pools they also have a lobby bar, Martini bar, a Sport bar and also 2 beach bars, one for diamond club members only at RPC, as well as a lobby bar, a social bar and a Bellini bar at RS. At the time we were there the Normal beach bar was closed for renovations. All are well stocked with branded drinks (make sure at some you ask for the branded ones. I have to say the staff are brilliant, friendly, helpful and go the extra mile(the guy who name has left me at the diamond club beach bar was excellent) Restaurants while we were only open on certain days so will only comment on the ones we used. We eat at both Buffet restaurants and they are what they are. Plenty off choice with show cooking stations. The food was good, plenty off it but its buffet so food could be warmer but that the nature off the business. Zen Japanese restaurant is great but it does feel like you are rushed, as they have to keep to the tight timings as they have about 3 different sittings. Food is fresh tasty and plenty off it. Hunters Steakhouse was wonderful. big portions freshly cooked to order and again plenty off it. Wife had salmon which was the biggest piece I
