There are 4 Iberostar hotels (Grand, Selection, Coral Level, Dominicana) sitting next to each other. I reserved Coral-Level for 2 family rooms availability reason (my couple and 2 grown daughters had 2 separate bedroom villa with a connecting door) and this was a perfect decision. Coral Level runs a Coral level guests only exclusive restaurant that is open for breakfast, lunch, dinner with all options including seafood, steak and etc everyday. Also Coral level has 110 rooms which makes the resort very quiet and peaceful. Selection Iberostar has a big swimming pool with over 400 rooms and is more like Cancun in a party atmosphere and many families. Most of the reservation needed dinner restaurants are in Selection Iberostar. Grand Iberostar is an adult only, more elegant & classic look and is very quiet.

hola! queria comentar nuestra experiencia que tuvimos con mi pareja en este hotel, ya que puede servir de ayuda para alquien que es celiaco o tiene alergia al gluten. Estuvimos en el hotel durante tres semanas. Elegimos la cadena Iberostar, porque ya habiamos tenido dos buenas experiencias en Riviera Maya con la alimentacion sin gluten y nos habia ido muy bien. Al ser un destino que no conociamos, desde antes del viaje estuvimos preguntando y avisando de nuestra llegada, ya que al ser una persona con alergia al gluten nos recomiendaron avisar previamente. La primer semana no la pasamos muy bien. El hotel dice estar preparado para brindar alimentos sin gluten y no todo el personal esta capacitado para responder preguntas. Tuvimos varias experiencias en diferentes restaurantes en los cuales avisabamos que la comida debe ser sin gluten pero igualmente traian un plato con pan de trigo y nos decian que corrieramos el pan. Explicabamos que eso no es libre de gluten y que ese plato tiene contaminzacion cruzada. Despues de unos dias, en los cuales tuvimos que hablar con RRPP del hotel por estas situaciones recien ahi nos empezamos a sentir mejor y mas comodos con la alimentacion. Coordinabamos cada dia la restaurante que ibamos a ir y nos estaban esperando. Despues de varios dias tambien nos conocian entonces fue todo un poco mas facil para nosotros. En el desayuno hay que pedir a cocina opciones sin gluten (pancakes, bizcochos, etc), las opciones que estan a la vista son poquitas. En el almuerzo en el buffet de Coral (el Faro), la señalizacion de los alimentos no es la mejor y mas clara, es algo que se debe mejorar sin lugar a dudas. Nosotros preguntabamos hasta 3 veces, para estar seguros que el alimento sea libre de gluten. Por lo general teniamos al chef a la orden para realizar preguntas y quedarnos tranquilos. En las cenas, hay que avisar y coordinar con tiempo. Aunque no sea obligatoria la reserva, al ser un menu especial es recomendable solicitar reserva, avisar que vamos. Creemos que eso ayuda a la organizacion de la cocina. Nuestra recomendacion para personas alergicas al gluten, la cadena Iberostar es una opcion en Punta Cana, pero hay que preguntar y preguntar. Asi tambien como que el hotel debe mejorar en algunos aspectos (capacitacion, señalizacion, variedad) En lineas generales fuera de la parte gastronomica, las instalaciones del hotel, la playa y sobre todo el personal que trabaja en el hotel nos trataron muy bien. Agradecer a todo el personal de entreteniment (coca cola, lulu, blaky, jonhy, wonderful), mozos, mantenimieendo de las habitaciones y RRPP que nos ayudaron a pasar unas excelentes vacaciones. Sin dudas que volveremos.

Excelente servicio. Destacable el servicio de limpieza y la atención de Yajaira de Jesus, súper predispuesta y amable. Me hospedé en la habitación 3893 y 3892. El servicio de animación también es excelente y los restaurantes exquisitos. No se pueden perder la experiencia del restaurante japonés

Das Hotel und seine freundlichen Mitarbeiter lassen keine Wünsche offen. Angefangen beim grossen Zimmer (wir waren in Villa 40), welches sehr gut ausgestattet ist mit: täglich aufgefüllter Minibar, Snacks und Kaffeemaschine (Nespresso) sowie div. Teesorten, grossem und bequemen Bett, leistungsstarker Fön im Bad, gute Klimaanlage (die hat natürlich zu tun bei 30 Grad Aussentemperatur und 90 % Luftfeuchte) aber es war angenehm kühl im Zimmer. Der Fernseher ist ein Smart TV und wer entsprechend technisch versiert ist, hat alle Möglichkeiten. Das Buffett und die Themenabende im Coral Level Restaurant sind fantastisch. Alles ist sehr frisch und die Auswahl riesig. Die Strandbar ist der Hammer. Es ist wichtig zu betonen, dass im Coral Level Bereich alle Mitarbeiter extrem freundlich und hilfsbereit sind. Alle haben immer ein Lächeln auf den Lippen oder singen sogar. Mir ist auch wichtig zu betonen, dass wir immer und zu jeder Tageszeit eine Liege am Strand mit Schirm hatten. Es ist mir schleierhaft, wie Urlauber meinen können, es gab keine Liegen. Das habe ich ich in 14 Tagen nicht einmal erlebt. Und selbst wenn, ein Mitarbeiter kann dann bestimmt behilflich sein. Selbst hier am Strand, klappte der Services bestens. Es war wirklich ein Erlebnis hier Urlaub machen zu können. Wir kommen ganz bestimmt wieder.

Staying at the resort was fun and the place was amazing. The room service was good and the cleaning service from Yajaira de jesus olea was stunning clean and she even decorated the room with flowers. I would recommend anyone who is looking to visit DR.

We just returned from a week stay at the coral level in bavaro. I titled the review a tale of two cities for the following reasons. First, let's get the negative out first. 1. The service in several of the returants was sub par. No greeting by the server, long waits for the sever, lack of follow up to make sure happy, disorganized. 2. Minor - the wet bar in the room was frequently not filled back up and required calls which took several hours to fulfill. 3. Language barrier - a lot if not most of the staff did not speak English and made it hard to converse. 4. Room air conditioning - the room was cool at the lowest setting but not cold. The room also had a small level of humidity which at times made it uncomfortable but not terrible. 5. Excursions desk - beware, there are two companies selling Excursions on site. Amstar is the company you want as the other isn't as good. To find the Amstar rep, you need to ask where he is at as there is no desk. The person sits at a random table in the theater. The cost is a little more but worth the difference. We made an error using the other company. The Excursion was alright but not great ( another review). 6. Food - to men this wasn't a huge issue as I found most of the food very good quality and taste. However, you got to go in knowing it's not in America and isn't going to be exact. If you are picky, you probably will have issue. For example, the beef is a bit different texture and taste but close. You will be fine if not over critical on small difference. 6b. Reservations - the resort says no reservations are needed. However, in some cases you should make one. We tried to eat at the steakhouse without a reservation one night at 8pm and was told Tyr wait was 1.5 hours. 7. Pool cocktail service - usually only one person doing the pool and ocean seating which made for slow service. On occasion there where 2 servers but was the exception. 8. Cocktails - the resort isn't well versed on how to make classic cocktails such as a old fashioned or drinks on their own menu. In a lot of cases (which some of you will appreciate) they over poured which made the drink taste like per alcohol. Now the positive. 1. The people (for the most part) - The people work very hard to ensure you have a great vacation. Most are very friendly on the resort grounds and have infectious smiles when greeting you. 2. A few of the restaurants had great service (the coral level buffet along with salt and soul). 3. Room cleaning - our room was kept very clean and tidy by a kind soul named Esperanza. It was my birthday and made me a cake buildt out of towels and fresh flower peddles. Amazing. If you see Esperanza at the resort (coral level side) , be sure to meet her and get a hug. 4. Resort - very will takin care of. Very clean, beautiful landscapes, walkways, views. 5. Food - I am not picky and found the food to be very good. 6. DesdeYahaira de Jesús Olea que siempre nos dejó la habitación con algún dibujo con flores hasta el Faro con Keyla, joan y Piron siempre dispuestos a ayudar y que estemos cómodos y felices, este hotel es la perfección para pasar unos días de ensueño!! El personal todo es muy agradable y servicial, siempre adelantándose al pedido de los pasajeros. Si quieres pasar vacaciones ideales no dejes de quedarte en el coral level Iberostar bávaro!!!
