Excellent service. People working there were always very helpful whenever assistance was needed. Food was tasty, and the room we booked (suite with swim out) was awesome.
The place is very big, so be aware that there will be quite a bit of walking to get to the lobby (where most restaurants are). When getting ready to leave, you can ask for the bellboys to get the baggage with you back to the lobby in one of the golf cars that they use to move around.

We spent 6 days enjoying the lazy river, beach, main pool and on the final two days Cabanas. Our concierge, Joselito checked in each day, gave me the itinerary, and asked if he could assist us in some way. Sometimes I’d ask if he could get us reservations for dinner (which sometimes he could) and the final two days I asked him to secure us Cabana space as I was getting tired of the towel game at the pool and beach. He took care of this and our final two days were spent in absolute bliss being pampered by Miguel.
I’m not sure what hospitality training they received there, but Miguel was phenomenal. Anytime our drinks were even half-empty, he was right there asking if we needed a refill. He was constantly asking if there was something he could do to make our stay better – just overall, the type of service you’ve always heard about but may have never experienced – just absolutely top notch! I’d also like to give a special mention to Marleene, our beach server, who took exemplary care of us on our two beach days.
Overall, this was one of the nicest places we’ve stayed in the Caribbean. If there was a downside, it was the food which was pretty average. But, there was always something available, although service everywhere was a tad slow (but, I’m a NY’er – so, take that into account).

Seems understaffed and short on everything-towels, spoons, beach chairs, wash cloths, etc. kids club staff was awful and seemed like they were annoyed they we showed up.

The property was beautiful and my room was gorgeous. The food was beyond disgusting. I had room service and also ate at Oceanside, Zen and the Steakhouse. Everything was nasty. The drinks were terrible. The margaritas were weird tasting. We had a swimout which was a waste of money it was freezing cold with bugs. The jacuzzi was freezing cold as well. Every one of the employees are aggressive for tips. And vendors on the beach constantly harass you to buy something. Never again Royalton.

My experience was terrible, the food was no good, and cold the service was bad as well, room service was awful, they could never get our order right, the pools are very dirty as well as the private pool. Other then that we appreciated all the bartenders.
I would not recommend this resort, there are better.

We had a wonderful 2 weeks, ignore all the bad reviews it is definitely worth a visit. Beach is amazing along with the infinity pool, the ladies that worked this pool were brilliant didn’t care who tipped, treated everyone the same, friendly chatty and always got you a drink never had to wait. Food was good lots variety no problem getting in for 2 people. Room was clean nice cold air conditioning. Negatives Entertainment team did not interact, they did not announce what was on or let you know for example where white party would be held due to rain. Need more interaction with guests. Check out was awful waited 30 minutes with 3 calls to bell boy for pre booked luggage collection and still did not arrive had to take luggage the long treck to main entrance ourselves, then to find out Buffett was closed and had to walk down to beach one. Stressful end to a great trip. This resort is big so would be nice to have signs up to know when restaurants are closed to save a lot of walking in heat.
