Great stay

Beautiful Resort with excellent service! Junior our activities coordinator, Nelson and Jesse at Portifino and Anthony at the Preferred Pool Bar all took great care of us. Rooms in the preferred section were beautiful! Great food and drinks!

Let me start out by saying I never write reviews. It’s not because I don’t find them helpful but I unfortunately just don’t take the time. I recently traveled with my daughter for spring break and a couple of her friends with their moms. This is a very beautiful resort. The grounds are very well maintained. Food was really good. What made our vacation from great to exceptional was our butler, Roberto! He is made for customer service. Our group all selected swim up rooms and after check in, we made it to our rooms and let’s just say, they weren’t swim up rooms. We were not happy to say the least. Concierge connected us with Roberto. He met up with us and instantly upon meeting him we were put at ease. He called us “Mi familia” and he sure made us feel like family. He promised he would make everything right and he sure delivered on his promise! Roberto has a natural gift. He brings joy and happiness to all he encounters. We had an incredible week in paradise and Roberto was a huge part of this!!

Although I stayed at Secrets , I booked a room for my mom on the Dreams side and she LOVED her room . It was super nice “5202 “ and it was spacious . I only have videos of the room but I lowkey was salty that it was bigger than my room . My husband is Dominican so she came to visit his Homeland 🙂‍↔️ Dreams recently built a preferred side which super nice as well . During check in , the guy was very sweet and check out was very fast. As long as you’re Dreams preferred you can go to the Secrets Restaurants. There are a lot of activities for families at Dreams. There is a super cool gaming room. There are also other games spread out on the resort . We had Hibachi while there which was nice . The food was damn good . Everybody tipped the chef and waiter like 100$ total . Will be bringing more family with kiddos next time .

Best recommendation is I would go back to the resort. Based on previous reviews, I was pleasantly surprised on overall taste of the various meals. Service was excellent. Jose, who was our Butler, went above and beyond to ensure we had all we needed. Very little issue with language communication even though I know very little Spanish. Resort was very clean and once figured out where everything was located, easy to navigate the property.

My daughter was married at Dreams Royal Beach. We had approx 50 guests. The wedding team did an amazing job! Overall the resort had great customer service and did a fantastic job with out group.

I wanted to like this place, but unfortunately it was not worth the money. There was a cockroach and flies on the buffet counters at the only food hall on site. It left us questioning how cleanly the back kitchen was. We decided not to eat there the remainder of the trip so our options were limited. The food was SO disappointing, I can't stress this enough. Constantly worried about foodbourne illnesses. We only liked the Burger Bar on the beach, it had some edible food there. The drinks everywhere were watered down and not up to standards. I was there for 4 days and I couldn't find a drink I actually enjoyed, so I just stuck with mimosas and wine. The beach was weedy and there were an insane amount of hagglers on the beach which ruined the ambiance of our beach stroll. Beach was nothing special, certainly not the best beach we've been to, which was a bummer. The room was okay, other than the fact that the mini fridge was broken, so all the drinks were hot. There was a huge ball of long hair in our shower on the wall, so I had to take a tissue and get it off to throw into the garbage. Kind of gross. The halls echo like you're in a cave. Luckily I can sleep easily, but for those people who have trouble sleeping, do not stay on the first floor! There are so many people walking through the halls, drunk and with kids. This was hands down the loudest hotel room we've ever stayed at. Lastly, I LOVE coffee, but the cafe was so disappointing. The lates, the frappes, the coffee in general was terrible. I can't stress it enough how bad it was. I saw multiple people in front of me get their orders, take a sip and throw it into the garbage right away. I stuck with just plain espresso because I knew it was hard to mess that up. Overall, second and last time I will be going to Punta Cana on these all inclusive resorts. There are SO many other amazing places in the world that is worth this kind of money and better. I left feeling very disappointed because when I am on vacation, all I want is a beautiful beach, clean room, great food/alcoholic drinks, and great coffee. This place had none of that.

This is a great vacation spot once you get pass check-in. I think what you booked and paid for, it should be available not what they want to give you. If I ask for double beds, I don't want a king size bed with a sleeping sofa. So once you get pass this part, the campus is great.

Spent 10 nights at the resort in June. First the good bits. The resort was beautiful, the room cleaned twice a day,( stayed in the preferred section) and the majority of the staff were pleasant enough. Big shout out to junior my butler for my stay brilliantly. Now for the poor bits . The food and drinks as mentioned in a lot of reviews was sub standard for a 5 star resort . Even in the preferred parts of the resort the food and drinks are not great. There's no consistency with the cocktails way too sweet and other mixed alcohol drinks like vodka and sprite Tasted different in all the bars throughout the resort. The preferred lounge bar near reception and cafe area. The gentleman serving behind the bar during my stay was never there always chatting to members of staff behind the cafe counter. Hard work getting a drink,poor service. Overall the experience was a 4 star hotel ,3 star food and drink. Being all inclusive food and drink was poor for 5 star. Iv stayed in a lot of 4-5 star hotels throughout, Europe and Mexico and they just did it better . Hence the 3 out of 5 review
