Grand Palladium Bavaro Suites Resort & Spa - All Inclusive

Palladium Travel Club is a SCAM!!! I will have to start with my first trip and which leaded to my second horrible trip. December 2 we checked in at TRS resort in DR punta Cana. Celebrating our honeymoon. They gave us a 2 double bed room. We informed the reception they changed it immediately, we had no complains after that. The next day the manager or supervisor from the reception heard about what happened and he automatically upgraded our room just because they got it wrong the first time and apologized for the inconvenience. The rest of the week at TRS was AMAZING!!!! Luxury, great food, anything you needed was provided almost immediately through a butler that provided his service for multiple rooms. Through out the week at TRS we were approached by the TRAVEL CLUB employees asking us to spend some time and to make an appointment with the sales person so they can show us what they offer, so we did and here is how it went. He was telling how 1. Great the club is and that they want you to be a “family member”instead of booking just as a guest. 2. Free private ride from the airport to the resort 3. he told us that we would get 50% OFF when booking. 4. he showed us a model of the room that we would be getting which was a lot nicer than what we had. (2 floored room main floor had the bed, mini fridge, bathroom, etc,) second floor was an essentially a big balcony that had 2 or 3 tanning beds and a tub. 5. Every room we book will come with a bottle of champagne and platter of fruits. 7. Told us that we would still have a butler that would cater to our needs 8. First kid free 9. Second kid free up to 15 years old Membership was $25,000USD with a 30% down payment we had to decline because we did not have that much money because we recently spent most of our money on our wedding. They said okay since it’s your honeymoon I will help you out and give you a better deal $10,000 with %30 downpayment we were able to afford it. So we went with it. Fast forward 6 months to May 25th. We wanted to book one of the rooms that they initially gave us a tour in before signing the membership it’s was “fully booked”. I said you know maybe they are fully booked it’s whatever we are a part of the travel club we are still going to have a great experience no matter what room we get. So we ended up getting a room at the GRAND BÁVARO SUITS (which is a part of the TRAVEL CLUB). Sat May 25th we get to DR airport that’s where the issues started. 2. private ride was late 30 mins. 3. They gave us a 2 double bed room, ceiling was leaking, no hot water to shower, and no bottle of champagne or the platter of fruits. 4. We called the receptionist told him about all the issues he said “well good thing you are getting a new room tomorrow” 5. Second day they called us to the travel club lobby. They said we have a room for you they took us to the room there was an insect on the bed. 6. We had no choice but to stay in the room we had for another day. 7. 3 day they we

Was not impressed with the food variety, wife got sick after eating salmon for dinner, jacuzzi took forever to fill up, plus no elevator access all stairs that wasn’t stated on the website. Staffs friendly and helpful though overall stay and experience was average for the price of room.

For the most part it was a very nice stay. Rooms were always clean and people usually friendly and helpful. Plenty of food options available and the resort and beach are beautiful. We had a few issues with our mini fridge not having drinks refilled. My friend had a few issues when she was trying to call room service to have this brought. Not sure why they decided not to stock the fridge a few days, but I believe she had trouble maybe because the person on the other side of the phone didn’t want to help her because my friend spoke English. This is just a possibility not really sure exactly why they kept hanging up on her. Eventually we did get some soda brought but it was kind of a pain to have that happen two days in a row. Come back from excursions and have nothing to drink in your room. Other than that I would say all was good.
