TRS Turquesa Hotel - Adults Only - All Inclusive

Every single thing from the service to the facilities, to the activities, to the food, to the room and just absolute stunning and sophisticated place. We truly have never been so happy with a hotel as we have been with TRS Turquesa. We cannot wait to go back next year!!! Our butler, Ray, was the absolute best!!!! He took care of every single thing for us every single day we were there. We are still speechless and how wonderful this vacation was. Truly amazing!

A great resort with a great view and an unbelievable staff! Not without minor issues, but no regrets and we enjoyed our visit. Food, just OK, but don’t miss the beach BBQ on Sunday afternoon. The roasted pig was delicious! The sushi at Kusko was wonderful, and I didn’t even like sushi prior to that. Make your dinner reservations with your Butler in hour 1, good luck getting into the steak restaurants or the hibachi, very popular. Be sure to grab a burger, some chicken, or some nachos from the beach grill. Our only bad eating experience was ala carte at Helios. We had a bad waiter and they gave us the wrong food. We got someone’s T bone that was shoe leather and my seafood skewers turned out to be someone else’s chicken. Our correct meals showed up after we were half way through the wrong meals and they just took them back to the kitchen. Room, nice, the furniture was a bit worn, the electrical switches are wacky, not enough plugs, and the cooling was terrible. Most times the room temp was 76.5 and the coolest was 74.8, too warm imo, and maintenance confirmed that was the best it could do. The sliding door is an issue, no handles inside or out, hard to slide, and if you close it from the outside, you’re locked out, happened to us twice! The balcony railings are low, maybe 28-30”, be careful! Grounds, fantastic and beautiful, it’s a gorgeous, sprawling resort. Plenty of large golf carts to transport you anywhere you want to go on the grounds. Staff, it doesn’t get any better! Everyone was super friendly, helpful, and cheerful. The Butlers were great… Edy and Miguel in building 52, first class! Drinks, great bartenders, never an issue getting a drink. None of the drinks were very strong, which may be why we didn’t encounter and loud drunks. Delores at the pool is zooming around all day for all of your drink needs. I’d like to know how many miles she walks every day. Pools, main pool was nice, some of the tile under water could use some cleaning, but very relaxing. The secret pool gets a bit of stuff blown in from all of the vegetation around it. Take lots of sunscreen, the sun is intense! As previously said, the staff makes this place!

Pros: Property- lovely tropical Room- clean, spacious with beautiful view Spa- relaxing, top notch Teppanyaki Restaurant and La Boheme were good Helios Restaurant beautiful view, but poor food- breakfast omelet was the best choice Cons: Food- mediocre at best Main pool- loud music and staff constantly trying to sell excursions, spa, etc. very annoying Quiet Pool- pretty serene setting, but NO shade Poolside Grill- terrible service and food (usually waited 20-30mins for food) Staff- friendly, but poor English (often received different answers to the same question)‘what time does Helios open for dinner?’ 6:00, 6:30, 7:00 Shopping- one store We arrived at 4:00pm, (after 12 hours of flying) with only 2 staff members checking guests in- very slow. We were told no restaurants were open, not even a coffee shop for snacks? So we went to our room to find the snack bar empty except for one Coke. We waited 30mins to talk to our ‘Butler’ and asked for the mini fridge to be filled with only water bottles during our stay, but that was not done. Thank goodness you can get water bottles at the bars. The biggest disappointment for me was the food- very sub par.

We loved our vacation at TRS. Staff was friendly, always felt safe. Property was beautiful and clean. Beach was well maintained and never felt overcroweded at the resort. We had an amazing butler, Rodny. The restaurants were never too crowded and the service was good.

Just returned from TRS Turquesa. It was a wonderful experience. We stayed as a couple in the Junior Suit Poolside room block 52 on the 3rd floor. This room block is shaded in the morning and receives afternoon sun (mostly blocked by the roof). There are no elevators so be willing to walk the steps. Nice view of the pool and partial view of the ocean. We arrived on a Wednesday so check in was fast and in an air conditioned lobby. Our room and butler were ready for us and we booked dinners through our butler on day 1. Edy, our butler was very attentive and would see that you got everything that you asked for...and then some! Grounds: Beautifully maintained and lots of places to stroll along covered walkways. Room: Nice size, nice walk in shower, vanity with single sink and great black out curtains on the sliding door. Don't close the slider all the way when you are on the balcony or you will be locked out! Personnel: Exemplary! Everyone was overly friendly, polite and helpful. Did not meet a single grumpy person! Bars: Plenty of places to grab a drink. Lobby bar serves top shelf and is air conditioned. Pool bar and bar inside and beach front at Helios were very good. Try the rum punch! Beach: Beautiful, some sea****, but not overwhelming. Water is very warm and so relaxing. Highly recommend this adults only resort!
