We have just returned from a 14 day adventure in Orlando Florida and stayed at Disney's Carribbean Beach Resort. We were a family of five (two adults, three kids (17, 13, 10)), staying in the Aruba area (building 52), pretty close to the Riviera resort in a water view 5th sleeper. The resort is well laid out, the Market place restaurant offers a decent amount of variety for breakfast, lunch and dinner, there are pools available near the main lobby (Old Port Royale) and smaller pools at each of the different regions of the resort (Aruba, Jamaica, Martinique, Barbados, Trinidad). There are plenty of entertainment options available, though we didn't really take advantage of them as we spent very little time at the resort other than to eat or sleep. There is a bit of wildlife around the resort: we saw bunnies, lizards, birds, dragonflies, thankfully no Gators! The room was pretty spacious; it comfortably slept the five of us, though there is limited storage, so we took two hanging clothes organisers. People complain that the fridge is not fit for purpose, but we managed to keep drinks, fruit, veg, and cheese cool in there for days. It is tiny, but it works just fine provided you don't overfill or block it. The beds are very comfortable, the pillows are so fluffy and I had a great sleep each night. The Aircon is LOUD, unavoidable if you want to stay cool, I guess, but if you're a light sleeper, bring earplugs. The shower feels like it has a vendetta against you and will pummel you clean. The dual sink situation was a nice touch. I do not rate the toilet situation, Orlando toilets are all the same, seemingly too low down and regardless or preventative measures, splatters the toilet seat with water, etc when you flush. Also and this is a major gripe of mine, the toilet paper provided by this Multi-Billion dollar company appears to be half ply. I think Disney could do better. There are complimentary Disney buses, which are available at all CBR bus stops and at the Riviera (which we used quite frequently), these take you to Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom and Disney Springs (transfer here to get to the water parks Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach) and the Skyline takes you to Hollywood and Epcot. There are also Minnie vans (Lyft taxis in Minnie Mouse colour schemes available at triple the cost of normal Lyft hire) and Ubers available to take you anywhere you like. You cannot and should not walk or cycle from the resort to the parks. As well as visiting the Disney parks, we took Lyfts to International Drive, Universal Studios locations, and Discovery Cove. All of this is pretty straightforward, provided you have set up your account appropriately beforehand. The only downside to the holiday was that when packing up ready to return home, we noticed a number of items had gone missing from the room, including a number of souvenirs from Discovery cove, Universal Studios and my daughters wand, which she got from the Harry Potter wand experi

We just returned from a 5 night stay at this resort. At first glance it looks clean and landscaping is attractive. Our room in Jamaica was very basic, small with the tiniest bathroom. The lock wasn’t working on the door and there were spilled coffee stains on some walls near the main door. The a/c is a noisy box under the window which cycles on and off making for a restless nights sleep. Also our building (44) was under the skyliner which gets going an hour before parks open and stops an hour after closing. I had requested a different building based on reviews but as always they can’t promise location and we needed to wait till checking in. We didn’t get a chance to use the pools as we had a tight park schedule but they looked nice. The cafe was very handy albeit understaffed but food was decent. To round up, this resort is convenient for using skyliner to Epcot and Hollywood Studios but needs a much needed update on the rooms.

This was a beautiful resort; the sunrise and sunsets were so pretty. Lots to do for kids (table tennis, pools, toasting marshmallows, play area, hammocks on “beach”, chess etc). Access to skyliner was great, we never had to queue for it (except when returning from parks in the evening). Room was clean and spacious (we opted for a 5th sleeper room in Barbados so our two kids wouldn’t have to share a bed). The feature pool was great, children loved the slides and theming. One evening was so relaxing on the sun loungers there because there was a steel drum pair performing outside the bar. We ate a couple of times at the center town market - making use of the pre-order app feature, and the free resort refillable mugs were a much appreciated extra! Staff were all so friendly, in the shop, front desk, cleaning and maintenance etc. Yes it’s a big resort but we requested Barbados to place us close to the skyliner and to the main resort facilities so it wasn’t too far to walk. The one main negative for us was the noise of other families - so loud and inconsiderate when walking along the external corridors past your hotel room very early in the morning! Not great to be woken before 7am on the day after you land when you’re all tired and jet lagged. Perhaps the windows could be soundproofed more?

We stayed here for four nights. The check-in process was great and the staff was very friendly and well informed. They took extra time to make sure we knew about our different options, how the wristbands worked and answered any questions we had. The grounds were beautiful and well maintained, the restaurants and stores were very good, and the room was large and located only a five minute walk from the Skyliner to Epcot. We took the Skyliner to Epcot the first day, then the bus to Animal Kingdom the morning of the second day and then back to Epcot via bus, and on the third day we took the bus to the Magic Kingdom and again back to Epcot late afternoon. The Skyliner is very convenient, with either short-lines or long lines that moved very quickly (especially at the end of the evening’s light show where hundreds of people are heading home at the same time), and the buses were frequent and well run – we never waited more than ten minutes for a ride. This was crucial since we wanted to make use of the early access which necessitated getting up early which would have been wasted if we were waiting for a bus. We ate at Sebastian’s Bistro one night where the spice necklace salad was delicious as was the oven-roasted chicken with tamarind bbq sauce, and the mojo pork with mango sambal. The staff was very friendly and explained what we were getting for our taste of the Caribbean menu for $39. We bought breakfast stuff at the resort store to eat in our room – cereal, fruit, and yogurt. The bellhops picked up our luggage and stored if for a couple hours on our last day so we could see more of the park before our ride to the airport – very friendly and efficient.

We have stayed at this hotel three times now and have enjoyed it more and more with each visit. Had a 5th sleeper room the the Trinidad section and was our favorite yet. We enjoy all the food and beverages at this place. Joffrey's at the Skyliner is always great. And, walking to the Skyliner is delightful and a great way to either get you pumped for a day at the parks or wind down from a full day there. Definitely recommend and we love staying here. Yes, you pay Disney prices and yes - it's not fancy - but it's fun!

We stayed in in the Jamaica section of the resort. I think the rooms had been updated, (we had a total of 3 rooms next to each other). The rooms had tiled floors in the bathroom area and a laminate in the sleeping area. The curtains had a retro vibe, if you looked closely, the raindrops randomly were mouse ears. A small safe for valuables was available, but it was very small, anything larger than a Kkndle would be a challenge. A dorm size refrigerator was nice as we could take cold drinks and snacks into the park. We usually made sandwiches at the room as a mid afternoon/late night snack. It was a walk to the lobby, so if someone in your group has mobility issues, address when making reservations. We stayed 3 nights, the rooms were serviced every other day, not daily. For the cost, I expect my bed to be made and fresh paper coffee cups delivered daily. Also more than 2 tea bags. My husband said the coffee tasted like wster, even when he used 2 pods. Maybe its a woman thing, but seriously, 1-ply toilet paper? Come on, we are only use twice as much, if not more. In the fast service restaurant I asked the cashiers about a preference on their sandwich selection. She frowned, saying she liked items from the dinner menu instead. I had the pulled pork sandwich with mango sauce. It was good, service was fairly quick. I will say the lifeguards kept a great eye on the grandkids while swimming.
