Domaine de Bayeux

Great stay and very friendly hosts. Would highly recommend if visiting Bayeux.

Everything's good, super clean, and it's in a great spot to walk into town. They do a continental breakfast. If you want just a coffee, turn left out of the hotel, then left again and head downhill, and there's about a hole in the wall place, 5 minutes on your left. They have some outdoor seating too.

This hotel and its team provides a perfect balance of experiencing 18th century charm and elegance with modern amenities such as the large modern and chic bathrooms. Due to a change of plans we spent our first night in one of the two new wings set in the fabulous gardens. The rooms are modern, spacious and functional, including a/c and a mini fridge. In my view perfect for short stays. However, the following seven nights we stayed in their premium ‘Omaha’ suite with three very large rooms, including a gorgeous new bathroom with seperate bath and large shower plus twin his/hers sinks. The main bedroom has a King bed, TV and there is a seperate sitting room. French doors from the bedroom lead to a large private balcony with furniture and a perfect spot for a morning coffee or afternoon drinks overlooking the gorgeous park like gardens. Note there is no a/c, nor a mini fridge, so this may not be ideal in summer. The staff are excellent, friendly and professional also helping with great suggestions and bookings. An easy five minute walk to central Bayeux this is a perfect place to base yourself for a short or long stay. Thanks Team!

We spent 4 very pleasant nights at Domaine De Bayeux. The location was excellent being very close to the town centre, but with parking. We had a room in the Orchard annex, which suited us very well as it was spacious , in a quiet location and very private. The room was well presented, the beds were large and comfortable, and the rooms cleaned each morning. There were coffee and tea making facilities and an empty fridge which proved very useful for milk, water etc. Breakfast was served in the main house and was perfectly adequate. The staff were always helpful, and made dinner reservations for us on 2 nights. We did enquire about the advertised electric chargers, but these were very slow chargers and probably not suitable for anyone needing a full charge. Overall, we felt the hotel offered good value for our stay, a nice ambience and a pleasant, quiet spot in an otherwise busy tourist location.

Celine and the Team were amazing! Our accommodations were GREAT and we enjoyed the gardens and quiet of our room. Restaurant recommendations were amazing as we were after local food and experience from local chefs and their creations. We had two recommendations and both were filled with delightful culinary experiences. Celine also set us up, last minute, with guide who had wonderful command of history of the local area and of Normandy. Highly recommend 👌🏼!!

Clean room, great central location to visit all of Normandy. Amazing, friendly, and extremely helpful staff. 10/10 experience in the Oak Suite. I have no problem recommending this place and will look to stay there again on any return trip to Bayeux.

Stayed for two days here. Staff was very helpful in helping to know sites around the area. Located within an easy walk to center of town shopping and sites. Room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was very good with local farm to table food.

Everything was perfect from the location to the staff to the rooms and really good value for money too! The staff couldn’t do enough for you. I would highly recommend . Thank you so much for a lovely stay.

It's a very convenient location to walk around Bayeux including to shops and restaurants, and a short drive to the war memorials. The room was quiet and comfortable. The breakfast was very nice; superior to other inns we stayed at. The staff was very helpful and conversant in English, which is helpful for the many Americans visiting the war memorials.
