Loved the shabby Victorian chic look of the hotel. If you want modern, go elsewhere! Shower was good and strong. TV channels excellent when rain sets in. And the staff are fabulous. Enjoyed breakfast dinner and cocktails here. Never had such fast room service in my life! Thank you. I will return.

I stay here for 6 weeks every year and have been doing this for many years. This is an old building so you cannot expect air-conditioning or a powerful shower, and some of the rooms could do with a refurbishment (but many have been renovated in the last couple of years), but the food in the main restaurant is excellent and the staff are very friendly. I could stay in any hotel in the region but I always choose the Bulkeley. I love the character, the view and of course the lovely Beaumaris. The lamb shank is excellent but I wish they would reinstate local mussels- they were always my favourite.

A wide selection of gluten free cakes available when we visited the Coffee House Bar in the Hotel. The gluten free Victoria Sponge was very good and the gluten free vegan Salted Caramel and Chocolate Cake was excellent. Drinks were good. The internal decor and ambience was far superior to the slightly run down high street exterior. Definitely worth calling for cake if visiting the Castle.

Very disappointing. A grand hotel with very grand room rates, hence we didn’t stay there overnight. However after a chilly and blustery boat trip, we popped in for hot drinks. It does say ‘wait to be seated’ but there was no one at the counter to seat us. The counter looked like it belonged in a cheap tea room, not a hotel. There were plates and cups on the table from previous guests(and a handbag which we handed in). A sweet girl served us and the coffee and hot chocolate were fine. One of the club chairs had quite a large rip in it, and foam stuffing showing. The loos were not great; rather tatty and grubby. The lobby area - the same. There was a table with some tatty looking Christmas decorations on sale inside the main door - glad they’re getting rid of them as they looked rather naff! I don’t know what the rooms are like but at a rate of £230 per night B&B for a standard double, I wonder how they manage to attract visitors!

Living locally we often visit Beaumaris, the weather was good today and we fancied a drink just sat on the terrace overlooking the pier. Firstly the wait at the bar is always long and never a pleasant experience there’s either not enough staff or they are trained to ignore you. It’s pricey to say the least so if you’re paying top dollar you expect top service and an experience to match. There’s a seagull problem locally now that’s not the hotels fault but you would expect them to clear away tables outside quickly to try and help the issue. Not at all it’s like a running buffet for the gulls at tables not cleared away and the terrace is nothing but filthy it needs a good jet washing and should be swept daily… great location let down by nothing short of laziness from the management.. come on get it sorted it could be so much better

Just here for drinks really, but the menu has good choices, the hotel itself needs a bit of TLC it's quite dark in some rooms. Staff were helpful and there's disabled access. We enjoy visiting this hotel every time we are here, has a welcoming charm about it.
