Central location. Clean. Very old building, lots of small shallow stairs in a small tower to your room. We had a room in the roof, low ceiling. Comfortable bed. Well kitted out kitchen. I could see out the window onto the church if I stood on tiptoes. good shower. Separate kitchen space to bedroom. A very good bar downstairs with great tapas style food.

Peut-on encore rajouter quelque chose d'original alors?

Beautiful historic stone tower building in the centre of Beaune with a small bistro bar restaurant downstairs. There rooms/studio/apar**ents are accessed via a narrow tower stone staircase with a rope. Access is not by a key but with a combination code. The room has a small open plan layout with a mini kitchen bedroom up a a step and en-suite small shower and toilet. Lovely white bedding but don’t expect it to be changed daily it is not serviced so no fresh towels and no one around to ask apart from the restaurant bar staff who some of them aren’t very helpful. One lovely slim young girl who is very helpful but the rest of them are not. We booked dinner one evening which is a set menu with a couple of choices on starter, main course and dessert. It’s a very cosy a**osphere and tastefully decorated. Nonetheless the food was very good but simple and one of the waitresses was most unhelpful, grumpy and tried to charge us for things that we hadn’t even had. The wine list is extensive and impressive as you would expect from Beaune. My main criticism is they only gave us 2 very small bath towels and one small hand towel for 3 nights I would expect the towels to be changed daily as I noticed clearly someone had been in during the day whilst we were out to replace the tissues in the bathroom but they didn’t make the bed or change the towels. I Asked for an extra small towel yesterday and was given another bath towel by a waiter which I noticed someone had removed today but left the dirty towels! That is very odd. The pavements outside were being cleaned by a member Of staff when we returned one afternoon. We had to endure the noise of the machine and no apology was made when we were trying to reach our apar**ents without slipping or getting sprayed or for the noise factor. The apar**ents could be excellent if they paid more attention to detail.

We were so looking forward to our stay, and the location was beautiful and all seemed ideal, but unfortunately i have never experienced such rudeness from staff (or perhaps she was the owner?). A woman burst into our room without knocking, shouted at my wife that her tan (water based so comes out when washed) was on the sheets and then slammed the door as she left without any courtesy of a conversation. Not to mention the fact that our room was above a private party on the first night, where we got no sleep for hearing every single word, and below the room of a couple of mature ‘lovers’ who (whilst deserving a round of applause for effort) shared with us every moment of their experiences. Whilst we long to return to Beaune, we shall be seeking far better accommodation having been so disappointed that we left a day early. Edit: we have since heard from a very apologetic owner who confirmed the housekeeper can be ‘rude’ and who agreed to refund our lost night. Such a shame, i do hope she doest cause further lost business.

We stayed here for 2 nights which was booked via ***********. it's in a great location and the lady we dealt with was very helpful. Positives 1.Location 2.Staff friendliness/helpfulness 3.Good size room 4.Aircon works well and isn't loud on low night time setting 5. Comfortable bed 6. Loccitane toiletries Negatives/improvements 1. Would be good to have an iron in the room 2. Noisy when the restaurant down stairs is open 3. Parking isn't that close by. We paid as wasn't sure where the free parking was 4. Very steep castle like stairs, pretty but not great for anyone with heavy luggage
