We decided to stay overnight at Beaver, UT and picked this family owned accommodation instead of bigger hotel chains based on its cheap room rates. The exterior reminded me of Bates Motel. The proprietor is an older gentleman and very methodical. It took him over 10 minutes to check us in. The rooms are basic and retro without the kitsch. The shower is hot with good water pressure. However, I found a previous used soap left on top of the shower stall undiscovered by the cleaning crew. But the rest of the bathroom is serviceable. The bed is large and without frill and it's comfy enough. This place is a bit worn but if you're staying overnight and don't mind the drab/depressing atmosphere, this may be for you.

For the price, it wasn’t terrible. I would consider staying there again. But there were a few things that contributed to this score. The room had a not so great smell when walking in. There were only two pillows; one was normal, but the other was a bag of lumps… really bad. And the heater was so loud and relentless. There was also a pocket of hair on the floor in the bathroom… not a huge deal, but suggests that it wasn’t cleaned so well. Great location though… very close to the highway and gas station. So, overall, not so bad if you’re looking for a cheap place to sleep for the night.
