First, the pros of this property: It's in a good location and easy to find off the freeway. The beds were comfortable, the bathroom well lit, with nice shampoo/soap products, the shower head supplied good pressure and the AC kept things at a comfortable temperature. The breakfast was good with plenty of options available. Now, the cons: This hotel has stated in several previous replies that it will be undergoing renovations in the fall. That is an excellent plan but it is really many years past its prime. I have stayed in quite a few hotels over the years, many in this price-point and many other HIEx properties and, while the room itself and the bathroom were clean, the couch and soft chair were the filthiest I have ever seen. We wouldn't even sit in the chair it was so disgusting. The carpets seemed clean though as there was no residue on our socks. The sofa bed was not comfortable given its age and how worn down the mattress was. This hotel benefits from the fact that a lot of youth sports teams stay on the weekend due to tournaments at a close by facility..and they charge accordingly. But for the money, I wouldn't stay here until they completely redo everything. There are other hotels not too far north on the freeway which would be newer and nicer for a similar price.

In the last 20 years of traveling, I've stayed in just about every kind of hotel there is, and mostly good ones. I've been here for several weeks, because I'm so comfortable I just don't want to leave. Google lists this as a 2 star hotel for some reason, but I would definitely rate this hotel as at least the higher end of a 3 star. The rooms are beautiful and have all the nice touches you'd expect from a 4 star hotel--fancy sheets and blankets, stylish furniture, a nice jacuzzi bath, a clean laundry that works well, fresh delicious coffee downstairs, and a Kurig if I don't want to leave the room, and all in a very clean and attractive atmosphere, in an nice placid wooded area. The managers Robert and Jennifer runs a very effective staff that actively anticipates everything I need. In those rare times when I do have to ask, they respond immediately, and with an attitude of anxiously wanting to help, and really caring whether I'm satisfied. Samantha has a delicious breakfast waiting reliably every single morning. Maureen, Becky, and Todd are always there when I need anything, day or night. They answer the phone promptly, they handle any request in minutes, and the entire staff constantly projects an air of both formal professionalism and approachable friendliness. I have very rarely stayed in a hotel where I can't find a single thing to complain about, so this hotel gets 5 stars--a rating I rarely give.

Needs cleaning and renovation. Entryway was dirty. A man was sitting on an empty planter drinking beer outside when we arrived. Room smelled strongly of smoke. Dead bugs in the bathroom. Towels were still damp. Dirty hall carpet. We always stay at Holiday Inn properties, but this one definitely did not meet our expectations.

Convenient for an overnight stop along the turnpike, but is an older property that needs upgrading, maintenance, and thorough cleaning. The bed was comfortable and front desk staff pleasant, but the elevator is still out of order, accumulated dust is visible in the vents, the place smells musty, etc. Will not return.

Our heater/AC unit didnt work so we had to keep the window open to cool the room down. But the room was clean. Breakfast was good. Room above us was kinda loud but we cant blame the hotel for that. Overall a nice place.
