We visited yesterday for food. We were pleasured by two young workers, Carrie and Sam. Both made sure we had a great time with Sam being a fantastic and entertaining barman and Carrie a brilliant waitress with exceptional people skills and great service. She also did check-backs to assure our meal was ok. Highly recommend the fish and chips it was lovely. Will definitely be back!

The young slim bespectacled lady that served us was abrupt and unfriendly. No customer service skills apparent. On being told about customer service her attitude changed. Didn’t feel welcome in the place. The manager didn’t say anything.

Last minute booking as our Air BnB was a total disaster. All staff members were so helpful. Really kind as all members of the party were stressed and unsure what we were going to do. They sorted us out rooms and food, really made us feel at home and part of the family. Food was lovely and well priced! The atmosphere was really nice not too loud or quiet just what a group of friends needed. Rooms were really clean and had everything you required….even managed to watch some Netflix! Slept like a log no disturbance in the night. Beds really comfy, rooms nice and warm but easy open windows if you need some fresh air. Breakfast was great a good choice for everyone. All round good trip, would defiantly return and advise others to stay here too.

I stayed at this gorgeous pub with friends for a night. Idyllic surroundings, amazing food (vegan, vegetarian and gluten free options), lovely staff, great atmosphere, reasonably priced and super clean rooms. I will definitely visit again!

Clean, comfortable, warm, friendly staff, delicious food (especially the pulled pork spicey pizza) all set in a wonderful location overlooking the river. Personally I thought this was the best pub in the village having tried the others.

Stayed for just one night but wished we could've stayed for longer. The bedrooms are undergoing a rolling refurb but we weren't inconvenienced by this at all. We had room 8 on the top floor, (very recently refurbished) and were impressed by the stylish decor, very contemporary but sat well with the view of the river from the window. We loved the coffee machine, it was a real treat. Everything was spotlessly clean. The mattress and bed linen felt very luxurious and we slept so well. The bar is welcoming and served a great range of local beers as well as the usual Continental suspects. We ate dinner and breakfast at the Prince Llewellyn and enjoyed them both. I can recommend the charcuterie board. Breakfast was hearty and made with great quality produce. I always think the staff make a great contribution to whether you enjoy your stay. I can't fault the staff at all, from Georgina who settled us in, Jack, Sam and Arwenna who looked after us in the bar and over breakfast. There are nice shops in the village and just a short walk to Gelert's grave the Prince Llewellyn is well situated. Parking is just a long the road in a public car park but there are no parking charges over winter. We really enjoyed our stay and are planning a return in the spring. Thanks to all the staff for making our stay so enjoyable. Arwenna, the picture is for you. Happy Christmas to all.
