Nostalgia S Hotel (Beijing QianMen Tianqiao)

The hotel's location is excellent, with many great restaurants nearby. Perhaps because it's in a residential area, the age-friendly renovations are really well done. The bedding was incredibly comfortable; I usually have trouble sleeping in new places, but I had a wonderful night's sleep.

Couldn't sleep at night due to the noise. When I checked in, I specifically asked for a quiet room, and they gave me the most remote room. Despite that, I was woken up around midnight by noise. The bathroom had a slight odor. The front desk service was just okay.

The best hotel experience I've had to date. Facilities: Brand new, well-equipped, thoughtful, and cozy. Cleanliness: Excellent. Environment: Excellent. I was initially worried about road construction noise affecting my rest, but it turned out to have no impact whatsoever, in fact, there was no sound at all. Service: Extremely thoughtful and attentive. Over the past few days, they've provided (but are not limited to) nail clippers, cotton swabs, hair ties, tape, scissors, foot soaking tubs, foot soak packets, wet wipes, facial tissues, coffee, lemon water, mineral water, bath towels, and hand towels…

The room was decent and clean, and the location was convenient for getting around. The only downside was the front desk staff's poor communication and comprehension – both times I called with a request, their responses were completely off-topic. Overall, I was still satisfied.

Let me start by saying: my whole family absolutely loved it and asked me to write a glowing review! **Amenities:** The bathroom fixtures are Arrow brand, and the toilet is very comfortable. The toiletries are Herborist, and they even provide kids' toothbrushes and slippers. **Cleanliness:** Very clean. **Environment:** The fifth floor is a children's area with various toys, climbing activities, and they even give out small gifts. **Service:** They offer a late-night snack after 9 PM (ours was millet porridge, yam and red date porridge, and some pickled vegetables). My eldest was eager to leave, and the front desk kindly gave us milk, bread, and sausages for him. My mom had surgery the next day, and they arranged a Peking opera costume experience for her, which made her incredibly happy and really eased her pre-surgery anxiety. I even got to enjoy some perks too! 😉😉 The hotel staff also helped us take photos and short videos. At night, we needed to drink water frequently, and the customer service was excellent, responding promptly to all our requests. The overall service was exceptionally thoughtful, sincere, and efficient. They provide everything from earplugs and sanitary pads to small tissue packets and lemon juice. There are foreign channels on the TV, and it seems they have quite a few international guests. The only minor point is that the shower only provides hot water for 20 minutes, though it was still sufficient – just a slight worry in the back of my mind. Our room was on the inner side, so it was quite quiet. It's also within easy walking distance to Friendship Hospital. I've already recommended this hotel in my classmates' group to anyone visiting Beijing from out of town!

The front desk staff were very welcoming and kindly assigned us room 8520. The room facilities are new and smart, and the hygiene was excellent; they cleaned and tidied up every day, and restocked drinks promptly after consumption. When we checked out a little late, the front desk was very understanding. On the 5th floor, there are traditional costumes available for rent, which were fun to wear for photos. The hotel is about a ten-minute walk from Tianqiao subway station, making it convenient to reach many attractions via Line 8. You can also bike to Qianmen Street for Peking duck and hotpot. Since we had early starts for Tiananmen and the Great Wall, we couldn't make it for breakfast. I contacted the hotel through Trip.com to cancel two days' worth of breakfast, and I appreciate Trip.com's thoughtful service!

The room was much smaller than what I'm used to in Shanghai, but the service was as excellent as ever. The room's amenities and facilities were very complete, and they've thought of every detail. They even offered thoughtful porridge in the evening. When I was leaving, I mentioned the street noise, and they gave me a farewell gift. Next time, I'll book earlier and definitely choose to stay here again.
