My first visit to China and also my first time experiencing a traditional Siheyuan in Beijing. Overall, it was a pleasant stay — the staff were friendly, attentive, and helpful. The hotel houses six lovely cats and offers a comfortable public area where guests can relax and chill with their loved ones, especially in a cool autumn weather. It also provides a shared microwave, fridge and self-service laundry facilities, which are thoughtful additions for travelers. However, the laundry room operates only from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM, which may be inconvenient for guests who leave early and return late. It would be great if the operating hours could be extended. In terms of location, it is fairly convenient, with several restaurants nearby, though dining options are somewhat limited. Of course, you can always order food via *******, and online shopping like Taobao is also possible (but you have to take the risk that someone might mistook your parcel). Major attractions such as the Summer Palace (Yiheyuan) and Fragrant Hills Park (Xiangshan Gongyuan) are located over 30 minutes away by car. Overall, it was a comfortable and memorable stay, and I would recommend it to those who wish to experience traditional Beijing charm.

Another great stay at the hotel (3rd in 3 years). A different type of room this time, not on the courtyard, but a great spacious and high tech room with an extremely comfortable bed. Since I last stayed they have embraced the cats and have a room and experience for you to pet the cats. I was worried when I arrived as I’m very allergic to cats but they are kept out of the bedrooms and I had no problems at all in my weeklong visit. One of the receptionists has a good command of English and this made things much easier as well this time. I would definitely come back again.
