Spring Yingxiang Hotel (Beijing Wangfujing Nanluoguxiang Branch) Reviews

I chose this hotel after some research, mainly because it offered a more affordable price compared to other options in the same area, and also because it had very good reviews. However, my experience ended up being quite different from what I expected. Starting with the positive aspects: the location is truly excellent, about a 5-minute walk from the metro, which makes it very easy to access the main tourist attractions. It is also located in a traditional hutong area, which gives the stay a more authentic atmosphere. The staff also speak good English and are always available to help with questions or suggestions about tours and activities. However, the negative aspects had a much greater impact on my experience. Upon arrival, I was informed that my room was not in the main building but in a separate one without an elevator. For someone travelling with heavy luggage, as I was, this is quite inconvenient. On the first day, a staff member kindly carried my suitcase to the room, which I appreciated. But, on the last day, I had to carry my luggage myself down to the reception for check-out, which made the situation even less convenient. The secondary building also appeared poorly maintained. The room itself was simple and matched the photos, but cleanliness was disappointing. Every time I showered, water would spread outside the bathroom, likely due to damaged seals. The walls were dirty, the air conditioning remote was also unclean, and the Wi-Fi was unstable, frequently disconnecting. I would like to point out that although the price is indeed lower compared to other hotels in the area, this should not justify poor cleanliness and maintenance. This was something that surprised me negatively, especially considering the hotel’s good reviews. Regarding breakfast, it is not a buffet and is quite limited, being almost the same every day, with only small variations in fruit. Overall, the location and the friendliness of the staff are positive points, but the lack of cleanliness and certain conditions of the accommodation left me quite disappointed.

Conveniently located. It's a hotel nestled in a hutong, so it's quiet. However, you do have to climb stairs. Overall, the stay was quite good. It seems to be popular with foreign guests, and the staff are generally well-mannered.

The room was clean and tidy. The front desk lady was beautiful and very kind, and she spoke excellent English. There were many foreigners staying there, making it the top choice for visiting Nanluoguxiang. The hotel is located in a hutong, but cars can drive in, and it's very close to the subway station.

This place has everything you could want nearby: food, drinks, entertainment, and shopping. It's really close to the subway station, and bus access is pretty convenient too. It looks like a regular hotel, but it's actually more like a hostel. The staff are enthusiastic and friendly, and there are a lot of international guests. I stayed here for a few days, and they even have washing machines and dryers available. Definitely my top choice for my next trip to Beijing!

The hotel's location is excellent, nestled in a hutong, very close to Zhangzizhong Road subway station – less than a 4-minute walk away. It's also near popular attractions like the Forbidden City and Jingshan Park. After visiting Jingshan Park, I encountered traffic restrictions, making taxis and buses inconvenient. I ended up cycling back to the hotel on a shared bike, which only took fifteen minutes. Cycling through the surrounding hutongs offers a unique charm. Although the hotel isn't new, it's clean, and the bedding is spotless. Crucially, facing the hutong means it's incredibly quiet, which is perfect for someone sensitive to noise like me. Plus, the hotel rooms have windows that can be opened for ventilation, which is a major plus. Many hotels in Beijing have sealed windows and rely on heating, making the air feel stuffy and stagnant. There are also many local eateries around the hotel, making it very convenient. All in all, it offers fantastic value for money.

The room was clean and tidy, and the bed was very comfortable. This hotel offers great value for money in the city center. I stayed for 3 nights, and the staff at the front desk, both the gentlemen and ladies, were all very kind and helpful.

So noting this is a two star rating the hotel was reasonably good.  My stay was in the smaller room with a queen bed and all that is needed was provided. Being a single traveller size was fine. This room is positioned over the road from the main hotel.  The team at the hotel were really helpful and friendly, washing machine and dryer was a bonus.   I think that with a little more attention to details the feel of the hotel could be greatly enhanced. Advise as follows 1) clear clutter from stairs and entranceways.  2) White lighting will brighton up key areas and again will greatly improve.  3) Plan quick refresh of paint in rooms and main corridors.  4) Enable fruit for breakfast as an option to cooked.  These points aside I  be happy to revisit and my sleep was restful!

Nestled in a charming *hutong* (traditional alleyway), this hotel is super close to the subway, making it really convenient for getting around. The front desk staff are incredibly helpful and generally meet all your needs. It's clear why many international guests choose to stay here.

The hotel is close to the subway station, with a beautiful environment. Outside the window, you can see the old hutong scenery. The hotel has a good wet/dry separation in the bathroom, and the cleanliness is also fine. The owner is very nice and enthusiastic. Highly recommended!

The biggest plus is its convenient location, making it super easy to get to all the attractions in Beijing. The service was excellent, and the room was clean and tidy, with housekeeping prompt.

This hotel is located in an old Beijing hutong. The staff are all very enthusiastic and personable. It's only a 3-minute walk to the subway, so transportation is very convenient. I really love this hotel, and I love Beijing.

It's a mixed review. The staff was amazing, all young people with a very good English, very helping with booking for all the Beijing actractions. Thank you a lot for all! But the problems arrive with the structure. The room needs a renovation and was a little dirty. The toilet get clogged some times. The washing machine and the clothes dryer were very dirty.

It was a great choice for a hotel in beijing, all staff speaks English, some even French. Everyone is very caring and helpful. The rooms look exactly the same as in the pictures, the cleanliness is beyond great, the breakfast tastes amazing, the location is perfect as it is close to everything. I even befriended Mr Yang, the manager, who recommended all the touristic places, helped me with setting up WeChat Pay, bicycle apps and much more. I even went back for a second time, after my journey in china, with direct contact of the hotel and it felt like I'm back home again. I highly recommend it for anyone who's going through beijing, words aren't enough.
