JianGuo Hidden Hotel （Beijing Tian An Men Wangfujing store）

I specifically booked a room with a window, but when I woke up in the morning, there was absolutely no light in the room. I thought the front desk had given me the wrong room. When I pulled back the hidden curtains, I discovered there was a large shed outside, blocking all sunlight. All I could see was a messy pile of construction debris. The soundproofing was terrible; I could clearly hear people talking in the room directly opposite. With kids running and screaming at night, it was impossible to sleep – it felt like they were in my own room. I had planned to wake up early to see the flag-raising ceremony, but I only got three hours of sleep because of the noise. The TV remote control wasn't working, and the music kept playing. It took forever for the front desk to come up after we called; we had to go down ourselves, and they then admitted they had forgotten. Apart from the location, there's absolutely nothing good about this hotel. For this price, it would be better to stay at a hotel with better facilities a bit further away, as long as it's close to a subway station, which makes everything convenient. This is the worst hotel I've ever stayed at for this price point.
