The Xanadu - We booked 4 weeks before travel based on trip advisor reviews and so feels only right to do a review for others in the future. We arrived on a delayed flight and they’re was still a plentiful spread of food at 12.30, swift check in and escorted to hotel room in a golf buggy. Which was a very pleasant experience. The hotel is a good size and has lots of facilities. The great parts: pools x 3 (able to get sunbeds as ample amounts) some reserving does go on but you can get beds and it doesn’t start a ridiculous o clock. kids clubs for different ages and age appropriate water slides, entertainment is really good in the daytime and in the evening. Darts, botcha, pool games, archery. Football pitch and the many parks for children all of which were covered was really good and well placed evening shows were high quality we especially liked the balance show as it was different we were certainly never bored at the hotel. The 2 free La a carte restaurants were really good the highlight for me was the beach and pier being able to sit and have lunch whist the children played on the large covered ship in the sand was lovely. Our two meals in these in the evening were also lovely. Drinks were high quality and lots of selection. The beach itself it a lovely location, lots of sun beds, beach bar and shade areas really well done. There are water sports available at the beach but they are very expensive vs other places I’ve been. €80 for a short paraglide and very expensive for a boat hire €400 for 2 hrs. Back in august we only paid £250 for 2hrs private tour at another hotel in turkey. We were lucky enough to be at the hotel for the Xanadu 24th anniversary party and this was a great experience everything for this was perfect!! Fireworks, band, pool party, foam and colour party, specialty cocktails. The whole day was a great experience and the hotel went all out. The staff work hard to keep everywhere clean and bar service is quick and efficient. When I did highlight an issue with no soap in the toilet it was quickly fixed. We ate enough ice cream to feed a small army. Ive never been to a hotel where it’s branded ice cream that is so freely available. Now the but ... The hotel I would not give 5 stars due to the accommodation. The bungalows .. 5600 block our room smelt really damp, we did complain about this but nothing really could be done. I think partly due to the fact the room never saw the sun at all. Whist the pine forest is lovely the over planting of other large shrubs around the villa was too much preventing any form of sun on the room. It made the room dark and damp especially when the air con had been on. The hotel room could really do with deep clean also the floors were black and black mould under the bath and around rim of the sink on closer inspection. I had to wear the slippers in the room due to the dirty floors. I think these rooms must have been from when the hotel opened and could really do with an upgrade
