We loved our stay at the Guest House!! Sharon and Reggie were fabulous hosts and the accommodations were so lovely. The apar**ent offered everything thing we needed for our 4 day stay. The kitchen is well supplied and the space is pristine clean. The Guest House is located above the walking trail that goes into Bellingham and Fairhaven. This is an added bonus. We made plans to come and only stay here!!

What could be better??? Nancy has thought of everything you want for your lovely, comfortable stay. This studio is beautifully designed and appointed. The sitting area for four contains an array of books you've intended to read. The queen bed is comfy with good lighting. A deep tub in the bathroom with all the toiletries. And the refrigerator is stocked with complimentary goodies. All this and more at an attractive price. A unique, beautiful offering!

I stayed three nights in the sensational Studio Suite. Parking is safe and convenient. There is a view of the bay from the Suite. There is ambient white noise so for those who are white noise adverse ear plugs are an easy fix. The private studio is tastefully decorated and stylish. Sharon is a gracious host. For location and value I wouldn't consider staying anywhere else.

We had such a wonderful, relaxing trip to Bellingham with friends. The Guest House was perfect! Sharon was fantastic, and even provided our kitchen with a large sauté pan for making omelets. The Guest House is within walking distance of Fairhaven Village with lots of great shops and restaurants. The rooms were quiet and very comfortable. The kitchen had absolutely everything we needed. The courtyard was a gorgeous spot to hang out in the evenings, and the seating area on the lawn provided breathtaking views of the sunset over the bay. Jim and Evelyn - Austin TX

The studio was very charming. Every detail was on point. From the comfortable bed, well appointed amenities to the check in process was fantastic. The owner is a bit eccentric and quirky but very nice and means well!

The Guest House Bellingham is our favorite place to stay in Bellingham! We have stayed in multiple hotels and private rentals and none come close to The Guest House Bellingham in location, price, comfort, etc. The location is convenient to the WWU campus, Fairhaven and Bellingham. It is also walking distance to Boulevard park which is a great place to watch the sunset. The owner Sharon is thoughtful and helpful and keeps the rooms incredibly clean and nicely appointed. The gardens and outside spaces are beautiful and relaxing. I highly recommend the Guest House at 409 14th Street.

I went to bed at about 5am im on vacation yet i work late hours so i have a different sleep schedule. I was woke up by the maid pounding on door with THE DO NOT DISTURB SIGN on the door. I respond no thank you at the house keeper she knocks again. I said no thank ÿou. This continued for 5 times. Then i go to the front desk ask the guy at the front desk whats going on is this normal. He said probally thought your checking out. Well no this is my first nigĥt of a week stay with my wife. He tells me oh sorry i then asked if it was going to happen everyday he said i dont know. I asked his name he refused to tell me. He started smirking while not telling me his name i asked him how was he helping by hiding his name. He finally said ERICK LIKE THAT WAS HARD. He tells me i can wait till monday to talk to manager. Yet ive paid and you cant make sur this wont happen again. I work hard all year round had vacation with my wife to go to hotel with good reviews to be tteated like i stole something. I donot understand how this place has good reviews it sure started our vacation off wrong the only 1 person on staff a tall gentleman said truly apologize and that was all i wanted he should be your front desk person he knows ow to talk to people. The front desk guy i wouldnt let clean my toilet what a creep at the front desk ERICK makes the whole place creepy. I wouldnt stay in this place if you paid me. The only chance they have is putting the tall house keeper at front desk that man can be profesional and understanding.

Just tried to book a reservation and the owner, Sharon, had clearly been drinking. I was berated immediately for calling as she thought I was trying to reach another establishment of the same name, saying she gets 3,000 phone calls each day because the other place stole their number. I was told she only accepts referrals which she said she “had 27 years of referrals so we’re booked until 2-0-2-4.” She asked what availability I was looking for and I told her July. She said “I told you we were booked July, august, September.” I said she never actually told me availability. I explained how the website was down and she said it was because the other establishment with a similar name was controlling them. (Good grief!) I did explain to her how I believed she was drunk and that it was ok because we’ve all been there. I then hung up. It was a hot mess of a phone call. I got a call back immediately from her crying how her husband, Jim, is in the hospital for surgery and she was out mowing the grass to get the dog inside the gate. (What?? Surely didn’t sound like she was cutting the grass.) Sharon stated her and her husbands name again and how they’ve now been in business 23 years (not the 27 I was told initially). She “called back not to apologize” but to see why I called a private number. I told her the number I called was attached to her business on google. She said she “doesn’t control google or iCloud!” Also she was now wondering if I was calling to be her accountant, baby sitter, or yard guy. She did tell me she’s a 62 year old woman who “didn’t need no help”. Towards the end she said Airbnb told her to call me but I don’t have Airbnb and she stated she didn’t either so I don’t understand where that was coming from. She tried to book me a room and I told her I did not feel safe staying at her establishment because of her demeanor. She started yelling and cursing and called me a c*nt multiple times, over and over again, because I pointed out how obvious it was that she had been drinking heavily. As I’ve typed this up she’s tried calling me back but I’ve sent her to voicemail and will be blocking the number.

Our 3 nites and 4 days in Bellingham’s Fairhaven district was a hilite of our 3 week trip thru the NW coast and Ferry to Alaska . We were amazed by our The Guest House spacious accommodation … bedroom , siting room , dining area and fully appointed kitchen. Tastefully decorated and supplied , meticulously clean and warmly hosted by Sharon we highly recommend The Guest House . In a very attractive residential neighborhood, very close to the Bay’s scenic walking promenade. The Guest House features a front garden seating area , good for any outdoor meal , with a good view of the Bay . Convenient location to both Fairhaven and Bellingham’s historic downtowns by Taxi , Bus or walking .. all first rate . Thank you Sharon ! Rob and Irene
