River Forest Inn

States in description they are a four star property. Two would be pushing it. It's kind of a strange little place, saw a few sketchy people about, think they rent weekly but no issues with anyone. King room was spacious but oddly no desk, table, or any chairs in room, had to bring in camping chairs from car. Fridge and microwave tho, and the staff was very nice. Could probably do better for the price.

This is the first time that I had to write a review the rooms are old and dirty as walking in we discovered they had roaches in the fridge and some around the room, The beds are old and worn out. in the room for 15 minutes we realized we could not stay there. We checked in and out on Friday we had planned to stay the weekend. I informed the front desk of the problem and they told me they couldn’t spray the room. I informed them that we were checking out on Friday and they still proceeded to charge me for two nights. management owners don’t reply to this message because you didn’t have time to call back, to discuss the disgusting situation.

Let’s see - our door didnt lock - so when leaving we had to take everything, toilet did not flush, extremely moldy lampshades, no one at front desk in morning to talk to, tried to call and could not even get thru their regular line or 800 number. Owner did eventually call me and offered me free nights, but I would prefer a refund which I see I did not get.
