I stayed at the Hotel Peppertree in Bend, OR, part of Best Western Hotels & Resorts, and experienced a serious security breach. My family and I were given keys to an occupied room, giving us access to someone's personal belongings, including luggage and electronics. Despite reporting this immediately to the front desk, we received no follow-up or apology from the hotel management during our stay. What is even more appalling is the complete lack of responsibility displayed by Best Western's corporate office. After reporting the incident on April 20, 2024 (Customer Service Number: CR838680), and being assured it would be handled by Hotel Peppertree directly, I discovered my case had been marked as resolved without any communication occurring. A month has passed with no attempts at resolution from Hotel Peppertree or Best Western corporate. This level of unprofessionalism and disregard for customer safety is unacceptable. I am extremely displeased and strongly caution others when choosing accommodations. You may have a random person enter your room, and this hotel does not care.
