We checked into a club room at the Four Seasons Bengalaru at Embassy One at around 3 am on a Wednesday morning. As always with the Four Seasons, check in was smooth and efficient. They knew all my details from previous stays at the Four Seasons in Singapore and elsewhere and we were in our room in no time. The first couple of days were uneventful except for the excellent food at the Cur8, Far and East, the Lounge and even in room dining. One evening, my wife was feeling unwell and the hotel arranged for their car to take me to various pharmacies to purchase the medication my doctor had prescribed, free of charge. She needed hospitalization the next morning, and the hotel vehicle was again at hand. The entire staff of the hotel was aware that my wife had been hospitalized and went out of their way to ask me how she was whenever I returned for a meal or shower, offer a packed meal for me to take away or afford any assistance needed. I had to extend our stay until my wife could leave the hospital, and on the final day, the hotel gave us a late check out upto 11.30 pm, and provided the hotel limousine to take us to the airport, both on complimentary basis, even though I wanted to pay for it. When my wife returned from the hospital, the staff were as happy as only family members could be, and were on hand to provide her with anything she needed. Everyone we encountered during our stay provided exceptional service and care, especially during our time of need, and the hotel can be proud that they have people of such caliber who embody and live the culture the hotel boasts of. A few names will always remain fondly in our memory, Sarah, Prakeet, Sneha, Alan, Sayan and others too numerous to mention. Our holiday was cut short by my wife’s illness, but we will definitely return to that wonderful oasis in the heart of Bengalaru, the Four Seasons at Embassy One.
