Travelite Express Hotel

Baguio|1.28km from city centre
Check-in was fast, i had to check the room they were going to give me the day before, and it was in the back so was fairly quiet. View from my room was the back porch of a residential area, but was relatively quiet. I needed time to recharge and catch some sleep and that i did! Wifi was intermittent and slow coz my room was at the far end, but at least i didn't have to suffer with people and kids walking by my room( i heard kids roaming around just a bit), and sound-proofed enough. Bathroom was clean, all-glass (door doubled up as shower door for privacy) basic toiletries were provided as well as the towels which faintly smelled of chlorine. I did brought alcohol sprays and sanitizers and cleaned the room myself. Air-conditioning was cool enough and muted all the ambient noise outside (a plus for me), huge flat-screen tv was good enough, but had all those cable channels in a foreign language. Bed was a surprise coz i was expecting a springy or noisy matress, but it was neither soft nor rock hard, just firm enough for my back(had a good sleep), and pillows good too( just bring your own pillowcases). Breakfast was included in the room and i was alone so i had 2 servings, the dried fish, and the sausages with eggs, plus unlimited coffee and juice. Hotel has an in-house restaurant which served mostly Asian food, i didn't ask if they still have a buffet coz they had one before the pandemic. There's a well-known restaurant too in the ground floor of the hotel and i think you can order food there too if you want to eat in. (just stayed away from the crowd) Clean room, clean bathroom, and breakfast. Small luxuries with a quiet room. Reasonable rates. Good enough for 4 stars out of 5 for me.

South Drive Baguio Manor

South Drive Baguio Manor

It was a desperate attempt to get accommodations with a view of Baguio's pine trees. After looking at the pic that was featured in Agoda and seeing that the location was near Camp John Hay, I jumped at the listing. Upon arrival at the hotel lobby i already had the impression that it was an old establishment but I was hoping it was at least well maintained. The receptionist was very helpful and patient with our check-in as we haven't filled up the required travel pass and she offered assistance. Later on I found out that the hotel did not have an elevator and we had to bring up our heavy luggage to our 3rd flr bedroom. We booked a quadruple room with a balcony and the beds were big enough for all of us to sleep on. However, on an over-all the room condition was poor; it was as if ever since it was built in the early 2000's this property was never refurbished. Since we only dropped off our stuff in the afternoon I really only realized the sad state the property was in when it was time to retire in the evening. The sliding door to the balcony was facing the road which was quiet enough at night but by 5am was already bustling with vehicles driving by. Even if you closed the sliding doors, the noise from the road below will still wake you. The sliding door also can't be locked which was a bit of a security risk. It did have a good view. The room smelled moldy which was a problem for me because I am asthmatic. The walls were a bit dirty and the furniture too worn out. The bathroom was too dark and you can see mold build up in the shower enclosure. The sliding door to the shower enclosure was broken so it couldn't be shut while showering which made the bathroom floor wet after a bath. The linen looked so shabby and smelled funky that I dreaded using the pillows and blanket so all throughout the night I endured the cold with a hoodie and socks. Lastly, the place had parking and I was expecting a guard would be on 24/7 duty by the parking lot since it didn't have a gate. I happened to go down late that night to get something from my car and I discovered that the guard (who was also the receptionist by night) stayed inside the property with the doors of the hotel closed shut as well as most of the lights in the lobby. So the cars, although ”safely” parked in the premises, were easily accessible to anyone. Because of this experience, I decided to book another hotel on my first night.

A Hotel Baguio
3.7/59 Reviews
It was my 4th time in Baguio City and I was with my partner for an advanced holiday leisure trip. We stayed at A Hotel Baguio City and I can say that their best asset is their employees. Red, the Front Desk officer when we arrived, warmly assisted us to all our needs during our check-in. She well represented the hotel’s hospitality service and she’s very helpful. The hotel is strategically located at the commercial district of Baguio were most of the tourist attraction are few walks away from the hotel. However, it could’ve been a nicer place to stay if rooms are a bit sound proof. It was annoying when sounds of the jeepney machines and the busy street of Shuntug bothers us duri ng rush hours. The room we stayed is quite dull and nothing amazed us in the hotel. The hotel rate, for me, does not reflects in the hotel rooms. There is no Safety vault, no flat iron (available upon request with fee), internet service is unstable, the room is just raw; bed, tv and tables only. No place for your luggage. But overall, this place is really nice if you want an accommodation in Baguio City. Good job to the staff of this hotel!

Everything about our stay was excellent. The food, the service at breakfast, and the staff at the front desk. They were always polite, helpful, and respectful. This is the best stay I've ever had in a hotel, and I've traveled around the world and stayed at many hotels. Definitely a 5 star hotel!

The Manor at Camp John Hay

Before the stay, the online booking process was very easy and intuitive. Upon arrival we were quickly checked in and our room was in immaculate condition, with a stunning view from the balcony. We were very impressed with the personalised welcome gift that was offered by the management, it made us feel very special. There were plenty amenities offered complimentary and there’s also the option to get a reasonably priced mini bar selection. The bedroom was very comfortable, and the view is outstanding. Although there’s no a/c, the ceiling fans do the job properly ( it’s even healthier) Everything has a feel of comfort and luxury, which is amazing value for the price. If there’s anything that would make this place even better would be to have more vegetarian options on the restaurant menu. The gardens are very neat and well taken care of, it’s such a pleasant walk around. I can’t finish without mentioning the outstanding and remarkable service that was provided to us by Alyssa, welcoming us on arrival with a genuine smile and going way beyond to make our stay truly unforgettable, she is indeed a star and a valuable asset to the Manor. We already can’t wait to return again :)

I’ll start off with saying that my wife and I stayed here in 2019 and had an excellent stay. The hotel was fairly new at the time and everything functioned. Well things have certainly changed over the past couple of years. The only reason I am not giving a one star is because the front desk staff were friendly and welcoming upon checkin and the location is great. To the many things wrong with this hotel and why you should definitely find somewhere else to stay when you’re in Baguio… The first problem we encountered was the room having a strong chemical/fragrant smell with a sticky residue on all of the surfaces, I’m not sure if they had sprayed some sort of air freshener or something before we arrived but it was quite strong and bad. Secondly the general cleanliness of the room is off putting. There was a thick coating of dust around the tv and on the table next to the bed, gross. The door had hand prints and smudges from the top to bottom as well. The worst of all these issues is the bathroom. Don’t expect to get too clean here because our shower was a trickle of water and not much beyond that, don’t forget to pack your tabo. The staff offered no resolution for a room swap or anything for any of these issues. To finalize, this hotel has lots of cheerful reviews, maybe it was just our specific room in disrepair. However it is advertised as a nice hotel you’d expect some amenities at. There was not even a washcloth or hairdryer in the bathroom. I do regret my stay here this time and would caution if you plan on staying here.

We love the antique vibes of this place. It has a nice breakfast views. We just called their number for reservarion. Their customer service is good. Our family room is huge. We slept well. It was peaceful place. Their rate is reasonable. Food is okay. My only problem was the mosquito in the lobby at night, it is just in the lobby. Our rooms don't have it.
