Very nice place to stay right on the Mediterranean. This is not a historical Parador like some of the Paradors, but is modern with a great location, within walking distance to the center of town. Our room was on the main floor, but there is an elevator to access the upper floor if necessary. Our room was somewhat dated, but very clean, quiet and comfortable with a big bathroom. The room had a safe and mini fridge available in the room. The room had a musty smell when the air conditioner wasn't on, or if we didn't have the patio door open to air out. The food served for breakfast and dinner was very good and didn't take long to get our order once we placed the order, but there were times when the staff was busy and it took us awhile to have someone take our order. Staff was always pleasant, spoke English, and worked very hard. It was great having free parking on the hotel lot.

Lovely hotel/apartments. Very clean in all the main buildings. Lovely outside area, pool could do with clean. Mind you, it is March, so only the very brave or silly would go in it. The surround of the pool has a few sunbeds, but plenty of other seating. Beware, there are no kettles in the room, and none are held at reception. The coffee machine takes the little coffee canisters. Takes ages to try and make a cup of tea. We ended up using a pan to boil water for brews. A kettle in the room would be a good idea. Especially in the apartments. The bar is lovely, all staff are very friendly and will help where they can. We haven't tried the food yet, so I can not comment on that. Parking is underground with limited spaces. This is via side road on the right past the hotel. There is a petrol station across the road, a big supermarket and a LIDL nearby. They close 2100. We didn't see any open restaurants nearby apart the one in hotel. Loads of little extras in the room, toothbrush and paste, cotton wool pads and buds, razor (use at you own peril), shoe horn, shoe shine sponge and a little pack of cotton, needles and buttons.

We had a perfect stay at Dios Está Bien. From the very first moment we were made to feel that we were at home. The location was perfect - in the heart of the old town and steps away from the castle. The rooftop terrace provided excellent views and unlimited relaxation. Our room was very clean and perfectly comfortable. We also had a small balcony that overlooked the beautiful street, which had a line to dry clothes. Couldn’t have asked for more. There are many good restaurants in the old town, but the food was Dios Está Bien was the best! The breakfast was fantastic and the homemade bread is a must-try. The dinner options were varied and delicious. Every meal was made with love and you could taste it. Last, but not least, the service was perfect. Every person we interacted with was dedicated to making sure we were comfortable and having a great time. Overall, highly recommended and we can’t wait to return!

All aspects of the four-star hotels in Spain are already good. But to remind friends behind, this hotel will treat a single room of 10 square meters as a double room of 18 square meters for you. Location very good, room very uncomfortable no chairs or anywhere to sit in the room, the bed has a wooden frame around it so you could not sit on the edge of the bed, if you wanted to have a drink out of the mini bar there was nowhere to sit and drink it, the room has a massive double bath in it which we used once but was a big waste of space, would rather the room to be more comfortable, it was one of the luxury rooms, and to sit down and have a drink of wine we had to go to the beach. Have stayed in 3 other Servigroup Hotels, all with good service but it has to be said the reception staff at this Servigroup hotel were brilliant. Special mention to Lys, ‘Jesus & Sara. Friendly, knowledgeable, extremely helpful with all their duties carried out in a professional manner. Stayed in the Superior room 5506 with a beautiful view of the sea and the famous castle. Bed very comfortable, walk in shower, hairdryer & toiletries supplied. No kettle in the room. WIFI strong. Cleaning of room done very well. Huge selection at breakfast & dinner. If you don’t want to eat dinner you can swap to lunch instead. Staff all round from dining hall, cleaners and especially reception all friendly and courteous. Walk to Castle around 20 mins. Plenty of restaurants, cafes around the whole area. If flying from Gatwick, fly to Valencia. Out of the airport follow signs to subway Metro trains. Take train to Xativa, €1.75 per person. From Xativa get off train and head for the mainline station Estacio del Nord. From here take train to Benicarlo-*****cola. Tickets cast €9.85 per person on the Renfe website or through Trainline where there is a small charge as well. Journey takes about 1 hr 55min. No refreshments on the train, make sure to buy water or snacks before boarding. Come out of the station, take taxi to hotel, journey about 15/20 minutes, cost €15. If flying from London Stanstead, you would need to take flight to Castillon then take the train to *****carlo. Lovely place to visit and highly recommend this hotel. We had a good holiday. Many thanks.
