Best Western Plus Heritage Inn

I was surprised how nice this place was. I saw that it had quite a few positive reviews and we were not disappointed in any way. Very spacious and clean. Comfy bed. Nice pool and spa. A surprisingly good breakfast that was much better than most places in their price range. Will stay again.

Room was huge. I liked the shower, microwave and king sized bed. We enjoyed the free hot breakfast and coffee. Convenient location and fair price

I have been coming to this Best Western for about two years now and I have to say that I have NEVER been disappointed. My partner travels for work and whenever he stays at this location, he is always happy and comfortable, which in turn makes me happy and comfortable. They know him well and always service his room, per his request. They know I am his lady and have always treated me kind and with much respect. The staff is very professional and flexible to the needs of the guest. The hotel is not loud at all, as most of the people staying here are either staying for work, or as a pit stop to catch some zzz’s before they hop back on the road. The surrounding community is made up of mostly family and retired households. So, there are some beautiful parks nearby, baseball fields, the marina is right down the road with a beautiful view of the bay. There are a few shopping centers nearby to get food, gas, groceries, etc. Even a few nails salons and local spa’s if you desire a little pampering. The hotel is next to the freeway but you do NOT hear the traffic. Bonus: there’s a 7/11 gas station right in front for a quick grab and gas. The quality of everything here is above average when compared to other locations in the brand. From the towels to the linen and pillows on the bed, the blackout shades for daytime sleepers, to the hot breakfast buffet served daily (love the bacon), the jet fountain for large water bottles, and even the thoughtfully planned parking spaces that surround the hotel so you can see your car from your room. Although, I’ve NEVER heard of anyone’s car being vandalized over my years here. Each room has a fridge and a microwave, mirrored closet doors , and a powerful AC/Heating unti. All in all, this is one of Benicia’s BEST KEPT SECRETS! So, if you plan to stay here, be respectful and don’t mess it up for the rest of us lol. Besides, BOTH the FIRE & POLICE departments are right down the road and Benecia law enforcement DONT PLAY! That’s why it’s still a great area to live and visit, despite the condition of surrounding cities. Thank you the Best Western Staff for all that you do for your guests! Everything could not have been better.

The property was quiet and nice but the rooms smell like urine,

Even though there is a smoking area provided. Guest seem to stand right outside the mid entrance area to smoke & talk loudly on phone at all hours of the day & night! And both nights someone sat in their car outside my room playing loud music after 10pm. The best part of the stay was the friendliness of the ladies that clean the rooms! They wished me a good evening or good night.. and asked if I was enjoying my visit.

I stay quite often at this Best Western site. Everyone is quite friendly and polite they know me by my first and last name which makes me feel important. Charles, John, and Carla are very professional and friendly. They always meet my needs!! They go above and beyond the Call of Duty!! It's a great place to stay!

Quiet

When we entered our room a strong musty, damp smell was present. We opened the windows, but being that we were on the first floor, we couldn’t leave them open. Three hours into our stay, our air conditioning unit shorted out and wouldn’t restart. We let the front desk know and they said they were going to call a maintenance technician to come and look at the air conditioner. Maintenance never arrived, and we asked to switch to a different room. The front desk attendant agreed to allowing us to switch rooms, but only after we insisted. The hotel is aging and needs a good upgrade and deep cleaning, but the breakfast area was very nice and the grounds were well maintained.
