Margaritaville Island Reserve Riviera Maya —An Adults Only All-Inclusive Experience

Adults only stunning rooms, fantastic staff , beautiful pools and great food. We have a swim up pool on the ground floor, it’s beautiful, clean and well planned out. There are two sun loungers which are on the patio, in the water, with steps down to your own pool, swim under the bridge and you are at the swim up bar ! Perfect! The staff are lovely look out for Edwin at breakfast and the lovely Vienney as host, they are exceptional and they deserve 5 stars for their exceptional service. Breakfast is a buffet with a wide choice, but you must visit both the Steakhouse and Italian, great food. The ladies who run the water activities are very good too. The gym is great and I found hardly anyone uses it.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this all-inclusive resort. I was very impressed by the cleanliness throughout the property, the delicious food, and the exceptional service provided by the staff. However, I must highlight Diego, whose warm hospitality and genuine care made my stay absolutely exceptional. He went above and beyond to ensure that I had an amazing vacation. Highly recommend!

Our second visit to margaritaville and much improved over the opening days a year ago. With low attendance, the staff was warm and attentive to our minimal needs. Ervin and Karen our Butlers were always there when you needed them and were Excellente. All the restaurants provided good options for all meals. It will be even better when they open Their last coming restaurant with a more Asian flare. The JW steakhouse was hit or miss and when they missed, it was blamed on having a small kitchen? The fillets that came to our table, looked like they had been on a warming tray for a long time. In my mind, it is hard to have a medium rare steak, dried out on both sides. Also note that if you show up in a group of seven or more, you will be served family style for appetizers and sides with severe limitations to any other menu items. Yes, you guessed it, “no soup for you”! Or tuna tartare either. A special shout out to Angel in the salted rim bar. He is a fine mixologist and a good soul. Enjoy the show. Shirt Nightly entertainment could use a boost. There is a band available most nights, but no headline entertainment, such as a singer or performance group. So in Summation, a much improved stay over our first and we were pleasantly surprised, and we enjoyed our visit. At 30% occupancy, we enjoyed the space. At 100% occupancy I would anticipate there would be challenges to restaurant choices and room selection. If you require a Beach at your destination, do NOT PAY go here as there is none since the recent hurricanes. The facility is clean and bright and well thought out For the most part. Fins up y’all!

Beautiful rooms, impressive housekeeping service. Limited dining options.

We went in May 2024 for my nieces wedding! Our room was Beautiful we had a little trouble checking in but Oscar managed to get everything figured out… The resort was very clean, and everyone was very professional! We had the same waiters many days and nights, so I’d like to give a big shout out to Antonio & Luis who always went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed! The beach was beautiful. I would highly recommend this resort.

Just spent my honeymoon here and it was such a great experience! Many different food options and entertainment at the resort! Diego was our island ambassador and he was amazing! Diego was very knowledgeable about the resort, and helpful with all our questions!

Our third trip to this resort and it was just as good as the previous two trips. I was so happy to be back that I cried on arrival, I was so sad to leave that I cried when we left. It’s a beautiful small resort, with exceptional staff that treat you like family. There’s plenty of space for those of us who want quiet and those who want a bit more of a lively holiday. We happily dipped in to both sides. Even though mum is vegetarian and I’m gluten free, we found plenty to eat at the restaurants. Our absolute favourite was Rita’s Taco House and The Beach House. Brilliant food and amazing views. All the members of staff work so hard to make sure your stay is perfect, and even when we had a problem (with an excursion) they couldn’t do enough to help us. Special mentions to: Eduardo, Antonio, Luis, Emilio and Martha at The Beach House and Rita’s Taco House. Candido and Manuel at the bars Angie from the entertainment team. Beautiful relaxing girls trip !!! Food was fantastic !! Breakfast coffee was amazing!! Yoga with Landy was amazing !! The incredible waiters at all the restaurants, my daughter loved Antonio and Ibrahim !! Our butler Carlos who helped us out in the beginning and made the rest of Our trip smooth. Thank you to all for a beautiful trip !! I’d return however not with children as this is not a kid friendly hotel. Gracias ☺️
