Dreams Sapphire Resort & Spa

The facility is very well equipped and we had so much to do. Personally, I spent a lot of time at the pool and in front of the beach, but also spent time practicing tennis, went to gym, to balance the good amount of eating and drinking there. There’s also a pool table (although I feel it needs better equipment), a club, a cafe, a healthy eating cafe and so much more. We had a good time overall

I stayed during Christmas 2022 and it was raining therefore no one could enjoy the resort however the food is terrible and the service

Almost everything in this hotel is average. It is important to mentioned that the hotel is under construction at the moment. The front desk lied about the very obvious construction and the noice around pool and dinning areas. The front desk was very unapologetic about it and decided to ignore my complaints about the very loud construction noice. However, most of the waiters were very friendly and humble. The entertainment was also very good and the spa experience was excellent.

Great beach front property. Main pool was great with swim up pool bar. Plenty of lounge chairs and umbrellas. Pool side cabanas with an additional charge. Great large rooms. Fabulous housekeeping staff. Great restaurants with attentive wait staff.

Beautiful resort! Very warm week (90, felt like 104) we were there, but staff and pool kept it cool! Pool was like bath water! No beach time this week. A little sargassum, but not bad. It was too windy though to go in and sand flying everywhere. Amazing staff from arrival to departure. Entertainment staff kept things lively all day from zumba, pool aerobics, games , crafts, fashion show, insanely hot 20 min ride to Puerto Morelos (not sure what were thinking!l , evening shows. Loved them all (Omar, Tony. Jonathon, Manuel, Ritchie, the beautiful Mar) Food/Drinks- you won't go hungry or thirsty, so many options. Israel with my daily coffee with Bailey's and Mimosa for breakfast, and a great buffet. ANYTHING at the pool grill !!! Those wings! Alfredo in El Patio (yum) who knew to bring 2 servings because sharing wasn't going to happen! The absolute best Churros on the planet for dessert. If you like "beverages" there are LOTS and everywhere. My liver is glad to be home 🤣 Can't wait for the new addition to be completed BRING THE SUNBLOCK !!! We will return!

Need some updates and all inclusive should be just what it means, not all these little extras

All in all a great time was had, only a few shortcomings to write home about. There was construction happening in a few areas, no mess, just noise, and it was all near the main pool which is loud most of the day anyways so no biggie. We had preferred club and our unit was right beside the adult pool(which is so hot it can be uncomfortable due to no shade) There is barely any shade in the main pool unless you want to sit at the bar until about 1pm, then under a bridge with 20 other Canadian Vampires. Pools were clean, and main pool is massive. Food was hit and miss, buffet was ok if you got the fresh grilled items at the grill station. Ala cartes were good, Bordeaux was not, Himitsu was amazing, Preferred breakfast in Oceanside was way better than the buffet. Hot cakes with Nutella and Canadian maple syrup...yup. Beach was no bueno, not really swimmable, and lots of seaweed. We went to Isla mujeres on a snorkel trip that filled that void and then some. Also did the ATV zipline, cenote and snorkel trip which was worth the 140 each. We did the "time share" presentation, they are super pushy and it seems like a good deal but not for me. just try to get out as quick as you can and earn some free resort cash to use on excursions. Room was good, cleaned daily even though I do not tip the maids. we don't make a mess, just the bathrooms, and I don't need fresh sheets every day. Bar was stocked daily, towels were short most days but a quick phone call resolved it. Had to request the slippers and robes for 3 days before getting them. I'd go back. It is already $500 cheaper per person now than when I went which hurts, but whatever. Dreams is dreams, although this one is being retrofitted from a Now Sapphire, so it will be dreamier soon enough. Waiters usually remember you especially if you tip, but they do bust it most days. Lots of wildlife from Iguanas, to Coatimundis, and even these rat looking things that were cool. Lots of wild cats too. Book it, you won't be disappointed.

Overall, great vacation with my boyfriend. This was my fifth time to Mexico and this was his first. Everything was good about the resort however the AC would not go below 25°C (77 Degree Fahrenheit, Fahrenheit) we asked maintenance to fix it three times and we were told twice not to touch the thermostat. After speaking to other guess it sounded like it was a common issue and we assumed this was not going to be fixed. Our buildings ice machine was missing from our building. We were preferred members and were slightly disappointed over this extra feature as the AC was not working correctly. Even the showers was cooler water, but not as cold as preferred to keep ourselves from overheating. Staff were overall amazing, including the concierge with coordinating transportation to different excursions. Be sure to bring lots of extra ones to tip the staff as locals only make about four dollars a day.
