For the price that we paid it should have been a five star. It Waqas more like a 3 star. The food in the restaurant was ok. Nothing to rave about. I alway head that staying in a castle was amazing well this was just ok.

Waren hier als Gäste einer Hochzeit eingeladen. Kamen später als andere Gäste, was dem Hotelpersonal aber nicht bekannt war, ein Infoblatt unseres Hochzeitspaares, das an der Rezeption lag, aber deutlich zeigte. Ein permanent lächelnder älterer Mann, der uns in Empfang nahm, schien mit der Situation überfordert. Ich glaube, er hätte uns am liebsten nach Hause geschickt. Die offen gezeigte "Gastfreundlichkeit" führte dazu, dass wir über 1,5 h auf unser Zimmer warten mussten. Gut, dass man sich zwischenzeitlich mit den Freunden vor Ort unterhalten kann. Wir mussten natürlich nachfragen, nicht dass man auf uns zukam. Die Zimmer selbst sind geräumig, hell, individuell und mit angenehm gestaltet. Das Hotelpersonal serviert die Getränke und Speisen in einer seltsamen Gleichgültigkeit. Das Essen ist gut, aber auch nichts Besonderes. Wer in einer größeren Stadt gelebt hat, weiß, die würden dort nicht überleben.

Mein Freund und ich waren vom 19-21.05.2022 mit einer Gruppe von ca.40 Leuten auf einer Hochzeit auf Schloss Gamehl und es war einfach wundervoll! Die Zimmer sind alle individuell geschnitten und in einem chicken, schlichten Landhausstil gehalten. Die Betten sind bequem, die Decken unglaublich hoch, die Bäder gross und hell und mit Shampoo und Duchgelspendern ausgestattet. Das Schloss an sich ist klein, übersichtlich, verwinkelt und sehr schön und heimelig. So dass wir uns sofort wohl gefühlt haben. Der grosse Rasen hinterm Haus bietet viel Platz zum Toben und draussen auf der Terasse lässt sich im Liegestuhl die Sonne geniessen. Vor allem heraus heben möchte ich aber den unglaublich guten Service der für unser Wohlergehen gesorgt hat. Unaufdringlich, professionell, freundlich und hilfsbereit, sowie auch herzlich und sehr aufmerksam haben das Team (Küche H. Weiss, M. Will, Raja Service Morina, Burhanol, Christina, M.Peres Housekeeping Moni und Hausmeister Sven) uns rundum versorgt, was die kulinarische Verköstigung, die Versorgung mit Drinks und das allgemeine Wohlergehen betrifft. Vielen Dank dafür! In dem Sinne möchte ich dieses Schloss samt Service wärmstens weiterempfehlen. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Mit meiner Tochter für 2 Tage hier gewesen. Personal sehr freundlich, gerade auch zu Kindern. Hilfsbereit, aber nicht aufdringlich. Schönes Ambiente, individuell und geschmackvoll gestaltete Zimmer. Leider kein Kaffeekocher im Zimmer und das Essen für Vegetarier nicht geeignet.

Schlosshotel nahe Wismar in ländlicher Umgebung mit schönem Park. Wer entspannen und ausschlafen möchte, ist hier richtig aufgehoben. Individuelle, geräumige Zimmer mit schönem Blick (1.+2. Stock) in die Umgebung. Der Hoteldirektor führt ein in die Historie und berät bei Fragen und Problemen zB den Corona-Anforderungen. Gutes Frühstücksbuffet und sehr gutes Abendessen mit zwei Menüs, die Gänge können beliebig kombiniert werden. Kleine aber feine Sauna, die einem nach vorheriger Buchung am Vor- oder Nachmittag alleine gehört. Montag und Dienstag hat die Küche geschlossen. Parkplätze für Auto und Fahrräder direkt am Haus. Internetverbindung könnte schneller sein, aber das kann auch als Pluspunkt angesehen werden s.o.

What a lovely place! Beautifully refurbished old country house, large and airy, in perfect, minimalist-traditional style, sitting in a gorgeous, idyllic landscape. Dinner in the delightful dinning room is outstanding - easily the best in Wismar - with an excellent selection of wines and super-charming and knowledgeable sommelier/maitre d'. The only down side is that they don't serve it for two days a week (Mon/Tues). They really ought to try to do so, as I can't see why anyone would want to eat anywhere else (including the drive there) during their stay! Breakfast could be a bit better, perhaps with more variety and special things every day (eg. some pies, quiches, etc) and, crucially, not running out of fresh fruit & croissants a good half-hour before the end (!) Anyway, small issues, this is a truly special place and highly recommended as a base to explore the area or just to enjoy the countryside for a few days. P.S. Children & babies of all ages are welcome, and personally I think this is a mistake. The place is a small, refined retreat that should allow for uninterrupted peace and relaxation in lovely nature (that's the main thing it has to offer), and the presence of even one crying baby or noisy child can destroy that for every single room and guest. Please do consider making your wonderful property adults-only and advertising it as a relaxation haven - I am positive you will be rewarded!

Als Kühlungsborner waren wir auf der Suche nach unserem Spitzenkoch, der inzwischen im Schloss Gamehl als Chefkoch arbeitet. Bereits einige Male haben wir nun in diesem wunderschönen Haus speisen dürfen. Es war immer ein Hochgenuss, und wir wurden im Restaurant rundum von der sehr kompetenten und besonders zuvorkommenden Crew verwöhnt. Wir freuen uns nun auf die Übernachtungen Im Herbst.
