Kottamba Yala Stay & Safari

The leisure villa and it’s possibilities of doing something are on one hand very personal and on the other hand very professionally organized. Our stay was amazing! The room was great, the owner so kind and the food just lovely (and fresh). We also did a village tour and an evening safari (Yala Block 5) both organized by the owner. We can warmly recommend to stay at this place😊

You can try homemade food, talk with local people and learn about the country. Feel like home! It is the best way to go safari because you wake up near. The guesthouse can help you with the jeep and drivers are very professional. They can see animals where you just see a tree. I recomend this place to everyone

Our stay at Utchit’s place was amazing! We were warmly welcomed, the dinner was delicious, and the rooms were perfect. We also booked the safari through our host and got to see leopards and elephants. I highly recommend it, 100%!

Everything was perfect : the place, the hosts, the food. We truly enjoyed every moment of our stay! Uchith and his family were absolutely lovely we will never forget them!

Very welcoming and very friendly owner who does not hesitate to spend time with his clients. proposes and organises different activities, (safari, buffalo milk tasting, rice fields visit) If you want to have a great time, go ahead and book:)!!

Me and my friend stayed for a couple of nights in the Leisure Villa apartment. We had a super nice time in the room, and the area around. Its a beautiful house with a big green garden. The neighbourhood is nice and calm. We did a safari tour in the Yala National Park, because it’s really close!

This is the best place we have stayed in Sri Lanka and was looked after from the minute we got there. Uchith and his family went above and beyond for our stay. He showed us all the great things that Tissamaharama has to offer and made us feel very comfortable. The only thing I would change is I wished we had booked longer.

We stayed for 2 nights in Leisure Villa with Uchith and his family who were so friendly and welcoming. We were picked up from the train station and on arrival greeted with flowers, refreshing drinks and homemade coconut cake. The whole family went above and beyond to ensure we were happy. The place was very clean and we were made to feel very comfortable. Uchith organised our Yala safari trip which was incredible. Followed by showing us around Tissa, exploring the history of the village, temples, lakes and wildlife. We also tried some very tasty homemade Sri Lankan food during this stay - it was delicious! Would recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay in Tissamaharama or wanting to visit Yala National Park.
