The food is good in the hotel restaurant. The staff are nice. However, it's far away from Berchtesgaden HBF. We need to climb up the hill to reach there.

The property is located at very(!) mountainous terrain, it is really tough to get there by foot , and carrying luggage is making it really painful. Note: there is no any Uber-like service in the city (not related to the property itself, just general comment). We got a room in the basement floor and it was a bit cold inside (may). Cleaning is on demand (you have to ask for it at the reception or put a sign on the door. Staff warns you about it in advance). I had some issues with drying my towel as there was no any heater in the room. No issues with hot water, the bed was a bit firm to me but thats okay. Breakfast is okay-ish (typical austrian / german, eggs , bread, butter and some cold cuts, yogurt and juice is also available). Coffee was great. Personnel is very friendly and helpful.

Great room in a nicely located Bavarian hotel with comfy beds and good amenities. The reception staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast was very good with the best views I’ve had during breakfast for many years. We had a drink and some desert in the bar at night which was also nice and was packed with happy customers. Would def go back and stay again.

Great staff great location - needs updating its a bit old and in need of updating . Needs fans in room - stayed September and room was hot !

We spent 5 nights here beginning of January with half board. Everyone is very friendly, great food. We had a menü and it was really good every evening. Huge room with big bath. they have a garage also. In a good location, only a short walk tocity center

Hotel in a good location with a nice terrace in a good location. Parking is difficult when the hotel is full, you have to take a space in the underground car park (charges apply). The standard rooms are more like an economy room, as most of them are in a less good location (next to reception, or elevator/staircase = very loud at night when other guests come home), on the ground floor you have a "view" of the parking lot (also louder at night), room very dark, no balcony, no ceiling light. We travel a lot, but this was by far the worst room for almost €150 a night. The breakfast is very tasty with a large selection!

We enjoyed the hotel as an overnight stop on the way to Vienna and are completely happy and satisfied. Our room with a mountain view and balcony was attractively furnished, very quiet and very clean. Yes, the ambience is a bit stuck in the past, but that's what makes it so charming. The breakfast and dinner were excellent, fresh sausage and cheese, no pre-baked rolls!! and the view of the mountains from the restaurant is fantastic. The staff were very friendly, competent and helpful and always ready for a chat. As I said, it couldn't be more perfect, which is why we will definitely come back...and then obviously for a bit longer.

Grumpy receptionist. Little service minded. Smelled smoke throughout the hotel. Poorly cleaned room, got a new room which was somewhat better. Comfortable beds, breakfast ok. Pleasant bar downstairs.

Absolutely top hotel with a great location!

If you love a mountain panorama, this is the place for you. The kitchen is excellent, the staff super friendly - especially Anna. We stayed here for 8 days and even got a free upgrade to a suite. Ok, the bathroom would do well with a facelift, because who likes to take a shower in a bathtub these days? We can't say anything about the wellness and sauna area, since we didn't use it. We would have liked to have had a sunbathing lawn or a pool, but we were here to go hiking.
