Creek Side Lodge Berea

Upon checking in the employee at the front desk was great! Once we checked into our room 315 we found mold and mildew around the baseboard. The wallpaper is coming off and I about fell through the floor. There is a very big hole under the carpet that needs to be addressed ASAP. Also the Tv in the bedroom doesn’t work. Last but not least the breakfast is lacking. To say the least this place needs a lot of tlc.

Lots of free parking. Easy handicapped access. Friendly staff. Clean comfortable room. Nice breakfast buffet with scrambled eggs, sausage, biscuits, gravy, waffles and more. Pool seemed dirty. No good restaurants or pubs nearby. Good stay overall.

Friendly, clean, safe, comfortable, high ceilings, fresh air. There are minor aesthetic blemishes like a chip in the tub, or the upholstery needing to be tacked up under a chair, but when you’re sleeping with the lights off, you’re there for a good rest and that’s what impacts your travel the next day. This hotel puts their money into fresh coffee, hot breakfast, clean linens. Enjoyed the sausage, biscuits and gravy, eggs, waffles, oatmeal, cereal, juice, yogurt. We had a nice stay. Thank you!

Paper thin walls/ceilings room 106 first floor near lobby. Basketball team stayed on 2nd floor. Asked desk to ask them to quiet down. Was told quiet time is after 11pm. Fell asleep at 3am to be woken at 8am by them. Hotel could use some updating. Didn't eat free breakfast or swim in indoor pool.

Really, this hotel is not a bad hotel. The employees go out of their way to lend you a hand if you need one. The only thing we found but did not report was that one of the beds in our room seemed to be tilted or saggy, maybe needing to be replaced. Other than that, sleep was good, breakfast was good, staff was very friendly, hotel was situated near to historic sites and major highway so easy on and off. If you have problems with your room, always report cuz this place deserves to have more than a one star. Special kudos to Jaclyn for her excellent help

I would love to say something positive but this one is tough... The water pressure in room 215 was good. I feel sorry for the people that work here. I feel embarrassment for the Choice Hotel Brand. There are some serious issues with cleanliness standards that need to be addressed. I have stayed in older hotels that were cleaner and better maintained. I read the reviews and comments from the owner and admire that there is a response to the reviews. However, take some personal pride in the product you are offering and stop reserving rooms that are not up to "your" standards. Based on the reviews there are some rooms that are adequate. Room 215 is not. The front desk handled the issue appropriately when I informed them I was checking out early and canceling the second night. As I stated before I feel sorry for the people that work there. This should not be a Choice Hotel branded facility!
