Very good hotel and well located.

Location: Very good Breakfast: Has a good variety of healthy options Service: I gave two stars for the service. This is because I was given a handicapped room without any communication which I found out when I saw the room. I then request for a new room which was accepted but no apology/explanation was given. The reception should have asked me with a handicapped room.

Overall, wanted a hotel chain that was not involved in anything controversial and had good sustainability records. This hotel was authentic and built in the early 20th century and best of all had Scandinavian/Norway roots which is what I was looking for! The hotel was in an excellent location in a city centre and it was easy to walk everywhere, the train station, the taxi from the airport dropped us off right outside the hotel, the funicular and museums and wharf were all within 10-15 minutes away. Many shops and restaurants are nearby too. The breakfast was good, a range of fresh jam and the bread was of good standards. They had a nice cinnamon bun and waffle, so it was good to try their authentic snacks. They had melon and fruits as well with a selection of cheese, I liked their brown cheese the best personally. The welcoming hotel lady 'upgraded' us to a nice room with a view of the Bryggen Wharf and beautiful mountains, quite similar to the view you would find in the breakfast room too. It was a clean, spacious room with soft bedding which made it a comfortable stay. There was some noise from the main road which the reception warned us about as it is close to the night activities but thanks to the blacked out curtains and our deep sleep we didn't get affected by it. We had the option to change if we wanted but we were happy with it. The only downside I would say is the singles beds were together for the room as we thought it was double but it was very comfortable though and we had a good sleep. If it was stapled together it might be better so it doesn't move when in the edges. All in all, a friendly hotel in a perfect location.

Perfect location with good views over the harbour area. I had a front facing room and even though I stayed mid week it was still very noisy until the early hours. The room itself was clean, modern and the breakfast was good. Fill up on it to avoid paying out for a lunch! Amenities were just ok. There were no tissues, no milk for coffee and it was a pretty cramped room. That said, it was great value. And I'd recommend it. Staff were really helpful too and able to arrange a taxi on a busy Easter weekend when I couldn't arrange anything myself.

I spent about a week here and the location is just terrific. The rooms are on the small side and mine didn't support a desk. It appears a lot of people use the dining room as the office when breakfast is not being served, the lobby as well. And it works! The service is solid, with more smiles from some staff than others.

The breakfast is very rich and the restaurant is large enough. I can sit by the window and enjoy the delicious breakfast while watching the sun gradually shining on the port and the sea. I will arrange to stay here again next time I come.

Excellent location. Hotel staff were very welcoming and friendly. Hotel is nicely located near fish market and walking distance to restaurants and malls. Room is ok but can be improved with better ventilation and heating. No chair to sit down and hanging space for clothes are limited. Overall, happy with location and its wonderful breakfast.

The staff here couldn’t have been more helpful. We asked for info about the local area/transport and staff were happy and proactive in helping us. The hotel was modern and clean and the breakfast offer was excellent. The room was quite small but modern and had everything you would need including iron and hairdryer. The hotel is in the Center of Bergen so ideally placed to access everything.

Loved our stay at the Scandic Target Bergen. Dazzling breakfast, kind and helpful staff, absolutely spotless room. The hotel was nestled in the center of beautiful Bergen.

Fantastic hotel, clean rooms, breakfast is impressive, central situated right in the middle of everything,

My only complaint is that the bed moved around on the floor. Some rubber feet would go a long way to a more enjoyable sleep.
