It's a bit old, but that's the atmosphere of the castle hotel. It's nice to experience it. The restaurant and bar at night are also very good. The restaurant service is very good. The guy can speak a few words of Chinese, which is a plus.

Because I couldn't book a room in Cologne during the Cologne Game Show, I booked this hotel. It's in the small town of Bensberg, about 30 minutes by taxi from Cologne Train Station, which is a bit far. But the hotel is very comfortable, with a beautiful environment, and there are gardens in front and back, suitable for family vacations. The breakfast is rich in variety, and the waiters are very pretty

Zugegebenermaßen sieht man hier mehr Paare oder Tagungsteilnehmer als Familien aber dennoch ist es für uns ein ganz besonderer Sehnsuchtsort. Das Personal ist am Empfang und beim Zimmer – und Room Service sehr freundlich und gibt einem auch aus Familie immer das Gefühl willkommen zu sein. Auch beim Frühstück, dass zu den Besten gehört, die wir kennen, ist das Personal wirklich extrem zugewandt. Die Zimmer sind auch für eine Großfamilie groß genug, die hohen Decken wunderschön und es ist alles vorhanden, was man braucht. Das Spa ist klein, aber meistens ziemlich leer und für die Kinder völlig ausreichend. In der Nähe gibt es viele tolle Ausflugsziele und Wandermöglichkeiten und wer möchte kann ja auch nach Köln fahren. Auch das Phantasialand ist nicht unerreichbar, wenn man sich für Freizeitparks interessiert. Wenn es überhaupt einen Kritikpunkt geben könnte, dann die starke Schwankung beim Personal in den Abendrestaurants und in der Bar. Hier gibt es teilweise erfahrenes Stammpersonal, aber auch viele junge Mitarbeiterinnen, die nicht immer so souverän agieren. Aber das ist ja ein generelles Problem in der Gastronomie. Wir werden dennoch auf jeden Fall wiederkommen und freuen uns schon jetzt darauf.
