Instead of a relaxing good night sleep for my husband , two toddlers and myself, we spent the worst night at the Embassy Suites we have ever had. Dissatisfied and disappointed: soiled sheets, bathroom door didn’t close properly; leftover party confetti an balloons scattered all over. We switched to another room at 11 pm with our toddlers half asleep. With all the disruptions and little sleep, we arrived at breakfast to find out it was already closed. When talking to the manager Scott the following day, his response was you got a discount so the issue is settled. He would report it to housekeeping. No sympathy for a family who had chosen this particular hotel for its good reputation and amenities. No apologies. If you are stuck in Berkeley Heights and must stay at the Embassy Suites, make sure to check the bedding and the bathroom before you unpack.

We reserved a room for one Sunday night with small children to be near relatives living nearby, arriving late with small ones exhausted. The room was so dirty and bed sheets used that we requested a room change. The second room was also dirty but we were too tired and it was too late to request another room change. Hotel management provided us with an acceptable monetary adjustment, but did not show any remorse, and even the hotel manager did not apologize or show empathy the following day. This is not the treatment one would expect from a well run hotel. Accordingly, we recommend staying away from this particular location.

Clean rooms, desk staff not very friendly or helpful

Had to use this hotel as placed close to office location and in the US without a car (short uber to airport). Hotel advertised that is had a shuttle bus for short trips (7 mile radius), which is common for Hilton in US, but this was no longer in operation. The hotels response was 'website hasn't been updated' . This means we either had to uber (which was ridiculously expensive - no idea why), or eat at the hotel. Hotel restaurant was nice, but expensive. Being a Hilton diamond member means you normally get free water, but due to the fact that you can now pre-register and go straight to your room using your mobile to unlock it means water not given to you. Again, the answer from reception to this was 'thats the way it is'. I forgot a charger for my phone, I asked at reception if they had a spare - or if there was one in lost property - immediate answer was no. They didn't even look, or ask what type of charger. I asked if they could suggest how I could get a charger - the answer was uber. So a $40 round-trip to the shops just to buy a $10 charging cable??? So, overall, not very good customer service, rooms ok (standard Hilton), gym ok (standard Hilton), swimming pool tiny (if you want to swim lengths, forget it - you push off from one end and hit the other end without evening taking a stroke). Nothing around the hotel, and without a car and without a shuttle service you have to rely on the very expensive uber.

Hotel has some potential but several things prevent it from a higher rating. Mattresses are worn out and need replacing. Need better pillow options. Water pressure in shower was ok but could be better. Some of our colleagues complained that their rooms very very musty. Housekeeping enters your room to clean even if you have do not disturb sign on so be careful! Hotel staff we interacted out throughout stay seemed disengaged. On the plus side: restaurant was great, good free breakfast, onsite Starbucks. Rooms were good size and lots of bedside outlets and usb outlets.

I, my family always stay here to see family in new jersey. internet and tv is very good and the restaurant in the hotel has the express stuff on the menu we took advantage on our last day. There also a starbucks in hotel. The breakfast is very good highly recommend omelete that you pick and choose what's in. the only thing don't like The front desk never has enough people on duty. always waiting or just coming back later.
