It was nice because it was clean and had the minimum necessary value! Person of hotel was kind, too and mailed ticket to hotel, but reception of mail was possible without problem, too.
Breakfast was delicious too!

First the positive: The location right next to the Ostbahnhof is good, the staff was friendly and check-in was quick. The cleanliness of the room was OK.
Not so great: You can tell that the hotel is a few years old, a renovation would do the rooms and the hotel bar good. Unfortunately, the windows do not offer good soundproofing and the windows cannot be completely darkened. There was an unpleasant smell in the hallway and elevator.
Conclusion: Price-performance is OK and if you just need a place to sleep, this Ibis is OK. Personally, I would want to spend the few euros on a slightly more modern hotel in this area next time.

I paid for a fairly large room, which I was happy with. It even had coffee and tea. BUT I was woken up in the middle of the night (just after 01) because there was a BAT flying around in the room. I had not had the window open myself, so it had been there the whole time.
I was really shaken up, it was a really disgusting experience. I got a new room (smaller and without the coffee and tea).
I had to get in touch with the hotel myself to ask for compensation, no one offered me anything. Not money, not even coffee...
In the end I got half the price of the room back. But I do think it was poorly handled by the staff.
And it felt disgusting having to think about the fact that the bat had been in the room with me the entire time.
