Great boutique hotel in very close to subways, cafes and restaurants. Spacious rooms with very good service. Would definitely stay there again! There are great cafes for breakfast very close by and the owners were very gracious and fulfilled our every need.

Absolutely recommend staying here!! Beautiful property with excellent rooms and lots of character, and it’s an excellent price. Location is great and walkable to everything including stations. The staff here really made the experience perfect! Extremely kind and friendly, very accommodating and helpful. Will definitely return again!! Thank you for a wonderful stay

Property did not respond for check in and was rude blaming us. Room was an active construction site and we were not given proper room requested. They were drilling into the walls in the morning. Staff was rude and said check out was at 10:45 but it was written 11am. Staff entered room during stay while we were sleeping and still had paid for the room. Very loud construction and men looking into windows that didn’t have proper cover so they were watching us naked.

Had the Marlene Dietrich room. Comfy solid mattress. A perfect tiny balcony. Safe was a little glitchy. The breakfast was well done. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Loved taking the stairs, or nice old elevator. Can be hard to find. Hotel just takes up part of a floor in a large building. My phone was very helpful! Loved neighborhood just in walking distance.

This is a really fantastic hotel. I stayed in room 4 for four nights. It was clean, bright and spacious with everything I needed for a short break. The best thing about the room though was the size. I couldn’t get over how much room there is. It really makes you feel very comfortable. The staff are great, all really friendly and very helpful, and the breakfast is very good. This would always be my first choice in Berlin and I’m looking forward to being back there soon.

This place is gorgeous. It's not a hotel in the commercial way, so don't expect a cheap kettle and coffee sachets in your room. This hotel is based inside a gorgeous old historic building. The stay here was truly wonderful. The staff, especially the handsome breakfast server, were all very attentive and professional. I doubted whether my return taxi they booked for me at 4.30am would be there, but it certainly was! Who doesn't want a beautiful chandelier in their bedroom? Or an oversized mural of a Marlene Dietrich above their bed? The mattress was, thankfully, firm and the bedding was clean and new. The room has incredibly high walls, giving a real sense of grandeur. It had all I needed for my short stay. The built in en-suite had black slate tiles and was contemporary and finished to a high standard. Because the hotel is situated inside an old building, the heating was provided by a radiator - which more than heated the room in the -13°C temperatures of Berlin in winter. Breakfast is served from 7.30 into 12, and there's a huge selection of food to get your day started. Including personally cooked eggs by a rather dishy cook 😍 But possibly the best part was using the old wooden elevator to get to the 3rd floor. It made me feel like I was in a period piece drama from the 1890s. If I'm ever lucky enough to get to Berlin again, I would definitely stay here. It's a shame I was only staying for 3 nights. Wow! What a great hotel. The staff are fantastic, very friendly and very helpful with any queries. The hotel is in the "*** centre" of Berlin, even though it is above Prinzknecht and beside other bars/clubs, there is very little to no noise. I had room 9, with the shared bathroom. The room itself is quite large, it has a great shower, and the room is easy to heat, the window looks onto the main street below. The hotel is immaculate. I didn't have breakfast, so I can't comment on that. The old fashioned lift to level 3, where the hotel is situated, is an added bonus. It's a fabulous original feature. Wonderful stay, I can't wait to go back. All in all, not one single complaint. I loved my stay here and I'd highly recommend the hotel to anyone.
