Attractive looking hotel with limited parking (but on-road and a car park close by) Friendly and easy check in Nice sized clean room with comfortable bed and good shower We overlooked main road but not as noisy as we thought. Nicely cooked breakfast which is ordered the evening before Bar drinks and food very good

Popped in about 5.45 for Sunday Roast after day out. Not a bit like the pictures others have posted. Lamb leg roast hard on top presume microwaved. No real flavour roast potatoes awful dish of veg between us. Green beans frozen not quite cooked red cabbage ok but baby carrots poor. Plate was swamped with gravy. Husbands chicken breast roast dry cut in half length ways received only half of full breast. Same problem with rest of his meal. £18 and £16. Would not go again very disappointing.

The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful, the hotel was spotless, well located and really good value for money. We were a party of 12 and all said they would happily stay again. A step across the road and you’re in the village centre, lots of local pubs and restaurants very close, though the restaurant, bar and lounger areas in the hotel are very nice. Recommend.

Have visited here quite a few times and was itching to go back as they serve such amazing cocktail's - the passion fruit martini being my favourite and probably the best one I’ve ever tasted no matter where I’ve been this is the one I would always say oh we really really need to go there for a passion fruit martini - even my mum loved them but it was a bit of a let down today. Not up to the usual standard which is such ashame as the lunch and service was really good but the cocktails didn’t taste the same as usual. They were very watery and we also had to ask for the Prosecco shot to go with them - felt like the bar was either too busy to serve their usual or maybe a new member of staff or maybe you’ve changed supplier (god no 🤦♀️) - either way I’m not sure we will make the effort to go out of our way to come here again as they aren’t cheap either. Three stars for food, service and ambience.

The Gwydyr is a great little hotel in a spectacular location on the edge of the National Park. You're guaranteed a warm and friendly welcome, great rooms (with the sort of showers that you really need after a hard day on the hill), tasty food from an extensive menu and a well-stocked bar. Highly recommended A***

Nice clean comfortable hotel. Fantastic staff all friendly and helpful. Lovely food, breakfast and dinner. We climbed Snowden, nice to come back and be able to relax, hotel has a drying room and electric charge points too. 15 of us stayed here, no issues at all.
