Afon Gwyn Country House

Gareth and Rana were excellent hosts. Friendly, warm and welcoming. Accommodation was spotless with lots of nice little touches. Breakfast was excellent with a good variety of choices, cooked fresh to order. We came away for our wedding anniversary and this was a great base to explore parts of Snowdonia. Would definitely stay again when next in the area.

What a beautiful place to stay real home from home rooms are beautiful and extremely large the rooms have everything you need toiletries and a great range of tea and coffee etc breakfast was beautiful Gareth and Rana are perfect host's and nothing is too much trouble. I have to say the bed was the most comfortable I've ever slept in and the bedding so amazing we stayed in the Rupert room we have booked to come back in September and staying in the Alice suite which is stunning and huge thank you both for a lovely stay Julie and Tony 😊

Fantastic guest house about a mile outside of Betws-Y-Coed. Gareth & Rana were terrific hosts, very friendly, accommodating and happy to go above and beyond to provide any assistance we needed during our stay. From a lovely pot of tea upon arrival after out long journey to an early breakfast on our last morning and everything in between. The whole guest house was very clean. We stayed in the Robinson room which was spacious with comfortable beds, a lovely en-suite bathroom and was very quiet. Nice touch with guest slippers and dressing gowns. We also had direct access to the rear garden were you can have your morning coffee. I'd have to say that the breakfasts were some of the best that I have ever had staying in a B&B, guest house or hotel, with a great choice from the full English, omelette, smoked salmon & scrambled eggs, poached eggs and much much more. There is also a good choice of cereals, juices, yogurts and fresh fruit. Will definitely stay here again if I am ever in the area.

We came back for another visit as the first time was so nice. It’s just such a lovely B&B with great hosts Rana and Gareth. Would highly recommend, esp the Alice suite. Breakfast is fantastic with many great choices, and Gareth gave us some good advice for local walks and places to eat. Very nice 😊

Beautiful luxurious property, we had a suite and it was immaculate with every luxury catered for. Breakfast was lovely, and very tasty.

We have just returned from Afon Gwyn Country House and have nothing but praise for our whole experience Rana And Gareth are the perfect hosts and make you feel very welcome and at home.Nothing is too much trouble for them. You are politely asked to wear slippers (which are supplied)throughout the property.Not a problem because you really wouldn't want to tread mud into their immaculate home. Breakfast was amazing.Plenty of choice and willing to change anything you asked for. The bedroom and bathroom are extremely clean. Everything has been well thought out to everyones needs. From the tea and coffee making facilities to the bathroom accessories.Everything is taken care of. In a very good location for traveling to the many attractions Wales has to offer. Highly recommend and hope to visit again in the future.

We had a wonderful stay. The entire property and grounds were lovely. Breakfast was excellent and the room was very well appointed and comfortable.

Lovely couple, wonderful breakfast, gorgeous surroundings. We were made to feel very welcome, but we did not anticipate the owners living at the property and thus having to remove our shoes on entering the house. We thought it was a hotel, which I guess was our mistake. The room was huge and the bed comfortable but the decor was very dated. The bathroom was carpeted which was seriously disgusting as the toilet splashed out when flushed. The shower door was made for a very thin person and I struggled to squeeze through. Great bath though! Room was very hot, even though it was not hot outside. It was very uncomfortably hot in the room, therefore we would not stay again, but there are many positives. The breakfast was divine, but didn't enjoy having to chat with owners and other guests first thing in the morning.

Excellent room big clean and tidy gareth and rana are wonderful host highly recommend and we will be back
