MainStay Suites

Stayed in room 100. Stephanie at check-in was nice. Two-queen-bed suite with full size refrigerator, dishwasher, dishes and silverware in drawers and cabinets (we didn't use). Sorry to say but this room needs a lot of TLC: cracked tiles in shower, cracks in bathroom floor tile (also dirty spots on floor), untrimmed snags in carpet, baseboards look bad, dust on lid of ice bucket, crumbs here and there. The room was not clean. Noise from freeway traffic (bothered hubby but not me). On the plus side, the king bed was comfortable and the breakfast had chorizo with eggs and potato, bacon & sausage, and all of the usual items. Would not want to stay in this room again...would request a different room if in the area again.

First of all my main upsetting downfall was there was no swimming pool when I had booked there was a swimming pool as one of the amenities and pictured in the website. I do have screenshots with dates and time frames. After I had made a complaint and report to the front desk the next day I noticed it was removed from the website. Front desk clerk stated that she was aware of it and had been on the website for a long time and hasn't been removed. That was one huge amenity asset that I was looking for to enjoying myself at this stay. The breakfast spread was not what it shows in pictures. As you can see the breakfast area was dark and empty. It was a pick your own sandwich behind the counter for the employee to heat up. The faucet handle came off in the bathroom sink, the area by the window in the room smelled like mildew and the water pressure was really low.

This property has so much potential. The staff was very nice and the welcome bags were an unexpected treat, the facility was nice and modern, the hot breakfast sandwiches in the morning were also a nice surprise, and a great kitchen. We loved the layout of the large room and the high ceilings. The bed was super comfy and very nice linens. BUT the problem was the room was filthy. Dried food left on the dining table, the sofa was very dirty and the coffee table was falling apart. The caulk in the tub was yucky and the bathroom door was almost off its hinges and would hardly open and close. That particular room had had some unfortunate visitors, but why didn't housekeeping report the problems? The staff apologized the next morning and said we should have asked for another room, but maybe they were all like that??? I have since heard from the management and they are looking into it (Room 104).

This night was great. It was my first day which was on a separate reservation as the rest of my stay. I stayed in a suite with a small kitchenette and it was clean and actually pretty nice. It has a full size fridge which is nice for staying for a full week. The room is nice and clean. This is a hotel that a lot of traveling workers stay at and the place is extremely clean even with a ton of oil field workers staying here. The stay has been nice.
