Downtown Delight

Avoid if you value cleanliness, honesty, or a working boiler. I rarely leave bad reviews, but my experience with this property and the host was unacceptable. I didn’t even get to enter the first property I booked—they told me I’d been moved to a “better” one before I arrived. That turned out to be false. Upon arrival at the property, I used the toilet and immediately noticed skidmarks left from the previous guest. Not exactly a great welcome At This so-called upgrade. the boiler was broken, so we had to take freezing cold showers . When I asked the owner for some form of compensation, he told me the second place was more expensive anyway—but this didn’t make sense because I had booked another room in that same second property at a cheaper price, and the person staying there was just as unhappy. In fact, that guest told me he wanted a refund after the first night and that he would have rather slept on the floor of a hotel than in the room they gave him. That says it all, really. Disappointing experience all round. Poor cleanliness, misleading communication, and no accountability. Not recommended.
