I decided to stay at the Monteverde Hotel in Bistagno during a relaxing week-end. The hotel is located in a tiny and pretty village near Alessandria, a strategic position if you want to visit the Monferrato and the Langhe famous wine areas. Finally we decided to have the dinner at the restaurant which was a tremendously positive surprise. The hotel is clearly renovated and in great and modern shape, the superior room was more than adequante for a couple, very comfortable and in my style looking but my main comment is about the restaurant which showed a tailored menu shaped according to the Pindemonte tradition. Exciting starters ("foamy" egg with trufle as in the picture) and pasta and main courses all made of high quality ingredients and clever receipts. Don't forget the cheese as dessert, they will offer you a wide variety of typical sheep and goat cheeses (and not only) from the trolley. And I need to mention the long and comprehnsive list of wines which are experctly and accurately selected according to your taste and menu. Thank you Sabina and to her staff!

Monteverde hotel is located in the center of Bistagno, about 15 minutes away from Acqui Terme. There is not a whole lot going on in the town itself (in term of tourism), but it is a very convenient hub for traveling to nearby wine country and to Acqui Termi for night life (concerts, dinner etc). it is great to have such a nice hotel here. The hotel is a completely renovated with large rooms, hardwood floor and modern bathrooms. The air-conditioning worked efficiently, and shower was very comfortable with high quality toiletry. The bed was comfortable, and room was quiet. The hostess was a very kind lady who cooked a nice big breakfast for the guests. All in all, it has met every expectation and is a perfect little hotel.

Weil der kleine Ort Bistagno, mitten im Piemont und dazu günstig auf dem Weg an die Côte d'Azur liegt, beschlossen wir hier zu übernachten und ... fanden zufällig ein Kleinod! Das Hotel Monteverde ist im Familienbesitz seit die Grosseltern der heutigen Besitzerin es gründeten. Das vor Kurzem kreativ renovierte Hotel entspricht allen Wünschen: es liegt am zentralen Platz des Ortes, Gratisparkplätze liegen gegenüber dem Hotel, es gibt auch einen Parkplatz mit Ladestation für e-Autos. Die Zimmer sind geräumig, klimatisiert, das Bett ist gross und bequem, es gibt eine Minibar und und Tee/Kaffee-Station. Das Badezimmer ist modern und gut ausgestattet. Alles blitzblank sauber! Hervorheben möchte ich, dass die Renovation sehr geschickt Bezug nahm auf die Geschichte des Hauses, indem Gegenstände "von damals" für die Dekoration des Hauses genutzt wurden (siehe Fotos). Es ist positiv zu bewerten, dass zum Haus eine Enoteca und ein Restaurant gehören. Wir hatten Gelegenheit den Aperitivo des Hauses mit lokalen Spezialitäten als auch ein Abendessen im Restaurant "La Teca" zu geniessen und fanden Beides sehr gut! Bei einem nächsten Besuch wollen wir die nahegelegene "Gipsoteca" des Bildhauers Giulio Monteverde anschauen.

Nous avons adoré ce lieu apaisant. Nous avons été merveilleusement reçu à la réception par une personne particulièrement élégante , qui nous a proposé de dîner au restaurant de l hôtel . Elle nous a par la suite parfaitement guidé pour le repas et pour choisir le vin . Nous retournerons avec beaucoup de plaisir dans ce bel établissement.

정말 깨끗하고 너무 좋았습니다. 직원들도 너무 친절하시고 아침 뷔페도 너무 맛있었습니다. 이번 여행 50일 중에 넘버 3위 안에 들어가는 호텔이였습니다. 하루만 묶은게 너무 아쉬웠습니다.

Bistagno è un paese vicino alla più grande Nizza Monferrato in una piccola valle a circa 150 metri di altezza. Per raggiungerlo si deve per forza, e per fortuna, attraversare le bellissime coltivazioni di vigneti dei famosi vini piemontesi del Monferrato, una vera gioia per gli occhi e per lo spirito, talmente immersi nella natura da incontrare un capriolo neanche tanto spaventato dalla macchina, che ci ha piacevolmente sorpreso. Bistagno è il classico paese dove il tempo sembra si sia fermato ai tempi migliori dell’Italia dove tutto era a misura d’uomo, ed è così che è gestito l’albergo Monteverde dalla simpaticissima famiglia proprietaria dell’intera palazzina. Quattro stelle meritate con camere confortevolissime ampie ed eleganti. Colazione dove si viene viziati da prodotti locali e da torte della tradizione rigorosamente fatte in casa. Personale alla reception giovane è veramente preparato con una bella dose di simpatia per sottolineare il tutto. Che dire ci siamo da subito sentiti bene e a casa comodi e coccolati. Ci torneremo sicuramente senza se e senza ma!
