We went to the Lodge at the end of March for a final downhill ski weekend. The slopes were fabulous, and not a huge crowd. We stayed at the Lodge, which was ski in and out so super easy and convenient. We were in room 343, which was just the perfect size for our family of 3. It was very clean and comfortable and the kitchen had all the amenities needed to make meals. The two restaurants on site gave us the variety we wanted when we didn't want to cook. Our 10 year old daughter loved the indoor pool, and hot tub. Fantastic family get away! We will be back this summer to check out all the summer activities here as well - The Lodge and surrounding area is a hidden gem!

We love this rustic feel of The Lodge! There is everything here: Alpine and Nordic skiing, tubing, fat tire biking, snowmobiling, golf, a climbing wall and ATV trails...a four season playground! Our room was on the top floor with a slope side view! Our Premium slope side room 343 has a king bed, a fireplace and a whirlpool tub. There is a kitchen with a dishwasher, refrigerator, convection microwave and all of the dishes and utensils. There are 4 restaurants on site and a beautiful pool and hot tub on the lower level. This is a hidden secret to Minnesota and we definitely be back to The Lodge at Giant’s Ridge.

The 2 bedroom was amazing for a family of 4 with teens. We were a little worried about the kitchen with no stove BUT the ninja oven and the industrial convection microwave did the job just fine. With a high risk family member we took a lot of precautions with COVID but this lodge was amazing. We were able to rent the night before to have it empty for 50% off and it was much cleaner than our visit to lutsen sea villas. The staff is amazing, the arcade the tables and chairs in the lobby allowed us to meet a few friends and meet at a nice distance. We can’t wait to go back and try the restaurant ( Friday night all you can eat walleye fish fry!!) Any questions let me know this won’t be our last visit

We stayed over MLK weekend for three nights on the third floor (top floor). It was an easy ski in and ski out. We just took the elevator down to the lower level and went straight out onto the slope and it was close to the primary ski lift/chalet. The room (1 bedroom with murphy bed) was a bit small for 2 adults/2 kids but fine. We opted for a hillside view room with fireplace and whirlpool tub. I would say that was worth the extra. The restaurant in the hotel was pretty good. Staff was friendly and helpful. The downside was it was a bit noisy with lots of people in hallways and not very good sound insulation. We didn't feel totally comfortable using the pool and hot tub since they were inside and usually crowded. We have also stayed at the Villas and at the Greengate units. I would say both places are "nicer" than the Lodge in terms of furnishings, appliances, and overall feel. But neither are technically ski in/ski out like the Lodge. The differences seem pretty minor overall but noticeable. That is the trade off, convenience to ski (or golf) versus a more luxury feel to the lodgings. The only thing that I really wished that the Lodge had was a space on the lower lever to store skis and boots rather than having us take them back to our room where space was limited. They seemed to have a room near the front desk with racks for mountain bikes but they said they didn't have one for skis.

We were here for a ski meet. Great location with ability for ski in and ski out… but not for the races. We had to drive down the resort road for that, since the races are at far viewers left, and the lift behind the lodge isn’t running in time for racers to make it over for inspection. Clean condo, large bathroom, nice mattress. Great lighting. The pull out couch was just a futon, so not really usable. They have a convection hot plate and microwave/oven combo. It would be crowded for a family, but it was great for 2. The hallway noise carries a bit. In general, this is far nicer than your average Midwest ski lodge. But that’s what you get when the taxpayers are footing the bill…
