The New Kent

Stayed here for 4 nights. Reasonable price B&B with breakfasts included. We arrived early to the B&B early so we could find street parking, which we managed. Parking is available over the road at a cost. Joanne was very welcoming on arrival and showed us to our room. The decor of the B&B is outdated, which is a shame, as this would make it more welcoming if updated. We stayed In room 3 which was alright in size, the bathroom was a little small. There was a bit of mould in the shower, unfortunately this could of been removed. There was also a door which led onto a small balcony. The bed was comfortable. The only slight problem was it could of been cleaner. Tram stop only a short walk up the road from the B&B. Although we used premier Taxi’s, very good. Full English breakfast was lovely and included fried egg, tomato, mushrooms, bacon, sausage, beans, fried bread and toast ( white bread only) Cereal was on offer limited selection and fresh juice. Housekeeping every day with fresh towels ( which were unfortunately not soft ) Tea, coffee, sugar and milk were replenished each day.

Beautiful clean very friendlly and helpful. They go above and beyond for a great stay. Very clean and comfy. Like home from home. Great breakfast soft towels comfy bed Can get balcony view with the sea. Great position for b and b.

Wonderful hosts lovely and clean the bed was divine I slept all night. Lovely breakfasts they couldn't do enough I will be back thank you for making our stay great. Near to where we wanted to go nice and happy atmosphere

Nice hostess, excellent breakfast, clean beds. Room small, shower hit / miss (eiether too hot or too cold). Shower / bathroom very dated. Could have been cleaner. Bathroom mirror from a fairground. TV not secure on wall, terrible reception. Plug sockerts with missing screws. One not secure. Could not connect to wifi. Overall, very outdated, lived in (could gave been cleaner) but nice hostess and great breakfast. Cheap...

Hotel and staff was very helpful would stay again little bit away from the town but a tram station is at the top of the road

We enjoyed a wonderful weekend staying with Joanne at the New Kent we felt very well looked after by the lovely host . The New Kent is situated in a nice quiet area on the north shore but only 100m from the prom and a tram stop . I hope we will be staying again soon.
