Viking Hotel- Adults Only

Fab stay ! We have had a lovely break ! Hotel was great , reception and housekeeping staff very friendly and welcoming The room itself was very dated but clean The food was a bit hit and miss , the evening meal was not a great standard more like nursing home food !( I have worked in plenty !) Bland and very basic for the evening meal (boiled fish and my partner had fatty lamb both with boiled potatoes and over cooked veg !) however you could not fault the full English breakfast the next morning ! All perfect !Totally different standard to the night before s offering ! The entertainment was fantastic standard and really made the stay Would definitely return Many thanks

Had a 2 night stay with my husband. Can't fault this hotel at all the staff are so lovely and will do anything for you. The food is amazing and there is so much to choose from. The entertainment is amazing and so funny. Everyone is just so friendly

Just returned from 3 night stay at Viking hotel.Easter 2024. Upon arrival we were told that the lift had broken down, we were on fourth floor which was tough going up + down couple times a day . We seen elderly people struggling to get up the stairs each day . No engineer came out to fix the lift . Was told by other guests who had been there earlier this year + read reviews that the lift has been broke on + off since February 2024. This was totally unacceptable. I found the restaurant staff very unfriendly + miserable not one member of staff even tried to speak to us .it was as though they didn’t want to be working there . The food was average had better + more choice in other hotels in Blackpool. The stair carpet had seen better days all paint work was all scuffed on top floor banister + door . Found compère Buddy Lee funny the first night ,but then he repeats the same jokes each night so he becomes boring ,also he has to pick + take the mick out of members of the audience to back his act up.Comedian Terry Cotta was excellent very funny talented man really enjoyed his show . Seen him before at Lyndene hotel . We have tried several different hotels in Blackpool now + nothing can match Lyndene hotel in all aspect’s from staff , food + entertainment 3 acts a night on .so we will not be returning to viking hotel in the future. We will be Sticking to best hotel in Blackpool Lyndene. Anyone thinking of booking Viking hotel don’t bother book Lyndene hotel instead you will not be disappointed it’s fabulous

Just spent 5 days all inclusive never again,on 4th floor lift never worked all time we were there,choice at bar very limited,they had a so called Gin bar but if you wanted anything other than Gordins original you had to pay for it.choice of 1 lager & couple of beers anything else you paid for. Hotel badly in need of modernisation/update.Rooms very reasonably clean , but not sure when stairs/corridors seen a hoover. Food choice if vegetarian limited if you wanted hot breakfast,it was eggs,beans or tinned tomatoes, went for lunch 1 day it was some salad & greated cheese.not a lot of thought put into it.

We arrived early & asked if we could park up & it was not a problem to the Hotel staff and the 5 night stay carried on in the same manner, nothing was any problem for any member of staff if you asked they bent over backwards to be of assistance & always with a smile. We had room 221 & it was exceptional great views of prom. sea & the pier and kept spotless by our housekeeper Becky ( THANKS ). it gets better the food was outstanding & the restaurant team kept everyone well fed, it ran like clockwork Shelia runs a great team. + ( THANKS CHEF ) Entertainment was superb & the bar staff worked extremely hard to keep us all well stocked up. ( Best service in years ) Must mention Laura in the Cafe/Bar an absolute gem, see you all in December & A BIG THANK YOU FOR A SUPURB 5 NIGHT STAY. Behind the scenes the reservations team were also outstanding & most helpful. All in all the best holiday for years. Ken & Marie

Freezing cold in the Viking had to go out of the hotel when we'd booked all inclusive to get warm somewhere else rest of the holiday was good just had heating on at home full blast to get thawed out better off going in warmer weather but overall well worth the money

15 of us stayed for the weekend the food was amazing the staff were fabulous thay made sure we all got to sit together the entertainment both nights was amazing we had a fabulous weekend we will be back loved it I think we will be making this annual holiday

Absolutely brilliant five night all inclusive stay, superb food as well, my wife is a vegetarian and had plenty of choice, entertainment is excellent, Terry Cotta and Buddy Lee are hilarious, staff here are so helpful and friendly, keep up the good work

Very small lift,most of the time out of order,only one bar open at a time,if you wanted a drink you are forced to sit through the endless games of bingo,why not have another bar open?not everyone wants to play Bingo!. The compares act is almost as dated as the hotel. Overall not great.
