Me and my partner stayed at this hotel for one night, we were greeted by a lovely couple who were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and tidy and bedding very fresh. The Avari is based in the centre of Blackpool so everything is around within a few metres.

I arrived at the hotel yesterday and he let me inspect the room before payment and I walked in there was the double bed with a sink that was dirty and one small bin with a small mirror and a small bedside table with two cups and accessories with a small kettle the kettle looked like it was last cleaned a year ago and had no water inside of it and plugged the charger into the plug socket baring in mind their was one plug with a double bed and was fizzing and crackling my missus heard unexplainable noises whilst she went to the toilet which was even worse the rim around the shower was yellow the stairs leading onto the second floor was rickety and squeaky the bannister was loose if I lent onto it full power it would have snapped and the WiFi was rubbish had a 2 bar signal had no tv which it states it has a flat screen tv the owner was quite raggedy and on edge the bedding was uncomfortable and the quilt was small for two people as iam very tall my feet hung out and over the bed the bed felt like I was lying on pure springs and nails woke up the next morning and my back was hurting felt like I was sleeping on the flooor which would of been probably the best option and the walls don’t even get me started there was rips in the roof wallpaper and had a hole in the wall next to the bed the wallpaper was hanging off the wall and had started to mould due to dampness and the wall had a massive purple marked stain on it the room was absolutely terrible I don’t even want to leav it a mark but unfortunately I do so it’s a one star hotel don’t book on here bc the state of it is terrible it looked like a crack den hostel and smelt like one

The location for this property is great, with about a 10 minute walk to get into central blackpool. The prices are relatively cheap, and you get what you pay for. Although not the best quality, it is a half decent place to rest your head for a night or two, definitely wouldn’t stay for more than that. The beds in our room were either super hard or super soft, the walls were grotty and it was dirty underneath the beds. I probably wouldn’t recommend showering in the showers there, they do look quite unhygienic. I would bring your own pillows and blankets to sleep, as the ones they provide are thin. The bar isn’t open, and is not like the pictures. The staff were all really friendly and helpful, although no one was in reception when we arrived. All and all I would recommend for location and a cheap place to stay.

I wish I would of come here before going, I booked for 2 nights but only stayed the one and wouldn’t of done that if I hadn’t have drove so long and booked things, this was New Year’s Eve so not staying and booking elsewhere wasn’t an option as the prices was out of our range, this hotel however was not cheap,.,.first off the reception stinks of feet, the room was small with 3 dirty beds squeezed in and no telly , the kettle was so dirty made me feel so sick and they new I was coming with a baby and needed the kettle for bottles, the sink had no plug and was so dirty there was no way I was washing my baby’s bottles in it, they offered to do it downstairs I literally laughed in her face, the base of the shower overflowed because the pluck hole was blocked, bathroom was dirty with black mould, then in the night upstairs used there bathroom and didn’t we know it I thought our room was flooding it was that loud, the beds was that loud when you turned over I think the guy upstairs was tossing and turning all night it felt like he was in the same room My sister also stayed in the room next door and her bathroom looked like it was part of an abandoned building it was that dirty the black mould covered most of it, her window was also broke and didn’t close I’m normally not one to complain and as the saying goes you get what you pay for but this is next level something else, and £150 for 2 nights I don’t think is cheap,.,..,the hotel is a DUMP AVOID AT ALL COST

Terrible!!! Dirty rooms, beds were SO uncomfortable with one flimsy yellow pillow. Leaking/running shower pipes. Mould galore around the shower tray. No toilet door, no sink. Rubbish curtains that wernt big enough so let the streetlamp right outside shine in. Broken TV and I came home with bites. Do not stay!!!!

I can only review from the 10 minutes we were in the building for. We go to check in and the man behind the desk states they allow people to view the room before they pay...red flag or what!! I leave my son and husband in the smelly reception and go to view the room. Door is already open, beds look slept in. Main bed- I decided to go all hotel inspector, pulled the sheet up, the mattress is ripped with what stuffing is inside coming out. There are all sorts of stains. Carpets have holes in, dark brown, not been changed this century. Wall paper and paint off the walls. I stand there mortified, and hear a noise, the shower is not just dripping but fully leaking from a pipe!! Left room, returned to reception, man at desk goes to room, comes back apologises that the main pipe has burst. No way I could allow my child to sleep in such a place, we left and told the man why. Who again just apologised and walked away. Now, I do not put any reviews on anywhere ever but I've never ever walked out of a hotel before either! Please don't stay here. They have also told *********** we didn't turn up!! I've pressed one green button because it wouldn't allow me to submit without doing this.
