Convenient location, £6 taxi to town, walkable Pleasure Beach. We booked the Bloomfield Suite as a treat but very disappointing at £250 for one night and £10 for parking, you expect more. Room was very tired, no docking station as advertised, only bath towels, no hand or face cloths, no bath mat for beside the bath. A fridge was balanced precariously on a one legged table that moved when you opened the door, but there was nothing in it no water and no glasses in the room for drinks. We asked for some and were told to go to the bar to get them. No info on working TV, how to call reception, room service nothing. When we returned late evening, the double bedroom had a drilling noise and humming constantly. I turned air con off, but it continued. I had to ring into the hotel, to reception as there were no instructions on the number to call internally, 0 and 9 didn’t work. A lovely security guard came up and said it was air con, it wasn’t, I turned it off, he then said it was from the air con for the building and that’s how it was built!! I had three hours sleep at most, with a long drive next morning, as before 7am, kids were running up and down the corridor, kicking footballs! Apparently there were junior football clubs staying. We went to breakfast for just after 10 and were told breakfast was finished!!! It said on the key card last entry 10.15. There were a few croissants, no coffee at all, just hot chocolate. Thankfully a lovely lady, came and said she would have a word with the chef and he prepared cooked breakfast. I believe the kids had eaten everything and caused some problems in the cafe, hence closing down. Finally going back to the room, the keycard didn’t work, despite it being 10.45 - check out at 11am, it had timed out. I felt we were in a parallel universe where Basil Fawlty reigned. I am waiting for a manager, or someone at the Radisson to get back to me. Think carefully before you stay!
